I'd like to learn, but I don't have the self-disclipline. So, I'd rather play Guitar Hero.

poser...

actually all you have to learn are power chords, and you can play most metal rythm guitar. just the same shape that you take all over the neck.

But that sounds shit. Youve gotta changes shapes to make interestig music. :dio:

or learn jazz chords.

IMO Dm is the saddest chord ever.

I find Cadd9 worse. It makes me cry like a bitch for some reason. Might be cos it's used so much in Nutshell by Alice in Chains which I find a really depressing song anyway.

I think we should make a playing / learning to play instruments sticky in GM discussion.

where abouts are you voicing it?? In the open position??

And yes!! that would be a really cool thread, someone should do it.

Yup, open position, it might be the chord on it's own or that to em, but it's always sounded bloody depressing to me.

I'll try and set one up.

that chord sounds really depressing when you flatten the thrid, i like it, never find myself using add9 chords much but i might change that now.

as a matter of fact, i did start a musicians thread some time ago, but all i got was wanky telling me not to substitute bass strings for guitar ones.

there!!!

I finally completed Dragon Quest VIII :P which took me 79 hours first time around and 91 hours in total with the Dragovian Trial + second ending (lv 65) - good game! despite the punishing hard gameplay, the many battles and stupid NPC's, and the way way too long, at times very lame, storyline. But the oldschool approach was cool, even though i like FF's ATB battle system better, on the other hand the oldschool battle system requires more tactic.
This is without daubt the hardest RPG game i have played so far on console, i even had to look on the internet for help, else i would have been stuck and been dead meat several times, plus i would never had started hunting for Metal King Slimes :P (30.010 exp each (10-15 kills per hour, yummi yummi).. yes i'm a nerd right now

Search under final fantasy 7 and see what i wrote. Nerdiness ruels![/intentional spelling mistake!]

indeed.. especielly when it's FF7 :P

yeah.. those game are fucking awsome.. especielly Chrono Trigger.. completed Chrono Cross a couple of times a month ago, i have to say i wasn't too fund of the level-up-system.
and Chrono Trigger has some of the best music evar!!! They're mysterius, full of atmosphere and u can always feel the Time-theme in them ^^ fucking sweet...
i'm currently trying to get the 10 different endings for each of the games, at the moment

btw.. am I the only one who found the story/timelinethingy of Chrono Cross a bit confusing at times?!?

I'm sure it's been mentioned, but Guitar Hero is AMAZING...if you haven't played it, check it out.

Best...Game....Ever. I'm considering rebuying a PS2 just to play the sequel.

i played it at the game store here and i thought it sucked. for little pussies who wanna be guitar heroes without actually learning how to play.

I don't think that if you play Guitar Hero that you're actually a rock star or whatever...it's just a fun game. That's like saying "Dance Dance Revolution sucks--why don't you just learn how to dance you pussy?"

Final Fantasy XII is out. Supposed to be really good...

Unfortunately, I'm too busy to play the games I have now, let alone a new game.
