Yeah I read that a few months back and thought it was great. Once this semester of school is over (3 weeks left) I'll read #3. Stupid school getting in the way of my reading.

i hate translating latin poetry, but i hate reading it out loud in front of my class even more :evil:

currently about Jupiter& Callisto and yeah the story about the peasants of Lycene is brilliant! i just hate the fact my teacher makes my recite the poetry on the rythm the Romans used :evil:

For anyone interested in military history, I really reccomend Theodore Ayrault Dodge. His book on Alexander was incredible, and this one is just as good.

dammit, Crime and Punishment is hard to read. i'm on page 385/434, and more and more it feels like a chore to read.

what do you guys think of this book?

edit - hmmmmmmm... it seems the translation varies with every edition. then, some advice - stay away from the Penguin Popular Classics edition.

I dunno why people badmouth Crichton. His books are always exciting page-turners, this one is also awesome.

Ya, it is a great book. But it can be a bit difficult to get through.
