I hate Cage. He has made three good movies his whole career. Adaptation, The Weather Man, and Raising Arizona. The rest is pure shit, IMO.

Leaving Las Vegas and I'd agree. Never seen a better portrayal of alcholic hopelessness.

I forgot about that one. It was good too.

haven't seen those but i loved Face Off. hated lord of war.

Agreed! I think he was okay in "The Rock" too. But I can't for the life of me understand how "The Weather Man " is good. There was no plot whatsoever and Cage was like sleepwalking through the entire film.

edit: And someone better shoot the guy saying Mel Gibson is no Liam Neeson... I mean, mel Gibson can like be everything on a screen. A freedom fighter hundreds of years ago, a father, a soldier in the vietnam, a funny policeman... and everything he does, he does great IMO.
The Weatherman was good because you can relate to the guy's troubles. He's fucked over his marriage, his kids hate him and his job blows so he tries to fix it all.

Oh and just because Mel Gibson has been in a lot of roles doesn't mean they were all amazing. He's probably a mid-grade actor, not too bad or not too good.

As for Liam Neeson, Kinsey and Schindler's List. I think that's the entire argument.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall

Really really funny. One of the better comedies I've ever seen.

Yes of course. The right men for the job of making a movie about the holocaust are the biggest hack in Hollywood and a Welsh actor. LOL fuck teh jews etc aryan pride ftw.

Schindler's list is just sentimental nonsense, designed, manufactured and produced to win awards.

I'll cede that point but not the fact that Liam Neeson was damn good.

And another thing, Kevin Spacey is really awesome too. Just watched Life of David Gale.

my favourite actors are Johnny Depp, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Ryan Gosling, Guy Pearce, and Daniel Day-Lewis (bold CAPS LOCK EXCLAMATION POINTS!!! DDL owns.) i'll see a movie just because they're in them. guys like Michael Caine and Anthony Hopkins are good too, but they'll act in practically anything.

Don't pretend that that Secret Window remake doesn't exist. Depp was shit in that. Plus, PSH, as good as he is, was in a Ben Stiller film (the one with Jennifer Aniston). So lay off on Caine and Hopkins, huh.

Noodles, we have a lot in common when it comes to movies. Let's hold hands and go watch Lars And The Real Girl.

It's not that great, be warned. Gosling is a darn good actor, agreed, but the storyline didn't sit well with me there.

Jack Nicholson is the best. Runner up is Al Pachino. His performance in Scent of a Woman is probably my favorite ever. I get all fuzzy just thinking about it.
Who's with me?

I think Al Pacino is just a shitty stand-in for Robert de Niro.
