Very good game indeed. Although I prefer Chrono Trigger more.

I myself am a HUGE rpg fan and own pretty much every game Squaresoft has released on PS1 and PS2.

My favourite game of all time is Final Fantasy VII, just can't get over it. Chrono Trigger was awesome, too bad Square brought down the remake project that was being made by fans ... in an UT2004 engine !! Now THAT would be cool ....

Eh, I got FFVII and played it for about 20 hours before putting it down. I'm not a huge RPG fan, so I guess they're not really worth it for me without the graphics.

Final Fantasy VII is a great game. When I got it back in 1997? I couldn't get my hands off it. Truly a magnificent game. And it has one the best villains in rpg history: Sephiroth!

The whole Final Fantasy series is just so damn good. Can't wait for Final Fantasy XII.

Gamespot elected Sephiroth the greatest game villain of all time, hehe.

The only thing that will make me buy a PS3 is a full remake of FF7.

I doubt there will be a remake, they made a promo video for the PS3 though, but i understand it was just a test, but ive seen a video of FFXIII and it looks spectacular, and the best thing is that apparently its all on real time, ive also seen a video of Metal Gear Solid 4 on real time also and it looks very promising, both games are going to be PS3 exclusively, and thats all i need to know about what console to buy.

Yes, I know it was a promo video only, and that they're denying 24/7 that it's a sign that a remake is on the way, but ... a little hope doesn't hurt, does it? :P

After all, it IS their most successful game, it still is the best selling PS game, and they're releasing FF7-related games one after another. Maybe 10 years later, a full remake of their #1 classic would be quite a good idea, woudn't it? I think it would sell more than ANY xbox360 game.

You have a point there, if they do release it, it would be awesome.

I just started to play Xenogears, another masterpiece from Squaresoft. I didn't even remember i had it so I immediately put it in my PS1 when I found it.

Great music, gameplay and battlesystem. Only downside are the graphics. They can sometimes be very rough and inaccurate.

Me be a very sad gamer :( I got broken sword : Shadow of the templars, one of my fave adventure games of all time, and the damn thing wont go past mid point because -due to a bug- it won't recognise the second cd! I've tried everything, and can't find a no-cd crack anywhere!

Anyhoo, I found a great adventure pack the other day, with Lucas Arts classics Grim Fandango, The Dig, Full Throttle and Sam and Max hit the road and of course purchased it! The elders among you are already shedding tears of gaming glories long gone! POINT AND CLICK FTW!!!

Oh and I also got Davil May Cry 3 for the pc, it's clobberin time! I already got my Slayer albums ready to accompany the action!!!

Glad to see somebody playing Grim Fandango. Easily one of the best PC games ever. Now if only Lucasarts could make some sort of sequel....

Anyway, I'm getting Super Mario Sunshine for my 24th birthday this weekend (ironic?). I'm pretty sure at least some of you have played it. If so, how do you like it?

it's not a bad game, but mario 64 was better, imo.

check out battallion wars, i heard it's awesome. i'd buy it if i could find it.

btw, how much do games cost there?

wave race: blue storm (which came out what, 4 years ago?) still costs over 60€ here in portugal, yet games that are just 6 months old are less than 30£ in england!!!

This game fucking wins at being one of the most creative and downright emotive games I've ever played.

i downloaded Warsow (www.warsow.net), it's like the quake games, really fast "kill'em all" affairs. the look is cel-shaded, so it's like "quake meets jet set radio". check it out, it's free and everything!

Saw it in a bin at Walmart for 9 bucks, so far its not really all that great, I fail to see where all the praise comes from. It is okay though, worth 9 bucks, but no more.

FFVII owns.. so do Chrono Trigger. I'm a big fan of Final Fantasy, and have all the games for ps1 (ff1,ff2,ff4,ff5,ff6,ff7,ff8,ff9 +fftactics) and some for ps2 (ff10, ff10-2). However, i'm not a big fan of ff10, ff10-2 and i haven't tried ff11 and never will. I hope ff12 will kick ass, and so far it seems as if does. I do miss the old style with worldmap and all. I hope they'll make an old-school rpg again sometime.

I hope they will make a remake of ff7, and i wouldn't be surprised it they did, not only would old fans buy it, but the new fans would too. So there's probably some money to be made here.

anywho... i'm currently trying to play the awsome game called Tales of Destiny 2 for ps1, (unfortunately it freezes during a mini-game, and it keep doing that, so i'm currently trying to dload it elsewhere), and it has a very cool battle system. A sequel to Tales of Destiny I and Tales of Phantasia, the latter from the snes. Very awsome

Furthermore, Suikoden I and Suikoden II for ps1 kicks ass as well, along with other cool games, such as Grandia

if u guys happen to have a booted (or bootcd, like me) ps1 or ps2 you can dload the games from this page for free:
http://www.emuparadise.org/roms/psx/#
including chrono trigger/cross, all ff, Xenogears, Grandia, Tales of Destiny I & II, Dragon Warrior VII, Suikoden I & II, Valkyrie Profile, Vagrant Story, Star Ocean etc etc. Some of the games didn't work probably on my ps1 though. Metal Slug X didn't work f.ex. Dunno if the ff games and some of the other rpgs work since i already have the origianals, but i guess they do. At least Valkyrie Profile and Suikoden II worked just fine.

I tried that and it didn't work...are they ROMS that you can run through an emulator?

hmm... well.. when i press the link my explore fuck up and no games are shown at all... However, if you shut down the advertisement by pressing the "Skip this ad" in the upper left corner they will show up. If not you can try to go the main page http://www.emuparadise.org/ and then type in the password that is given to you fairly easy.
I haven't tried running them through an emulator. When u have dloaded all the files for the game, u will get 4 files when you unzip the rarfiles, and u need a certain program to burn them to a cd.. a normal cd-burner program won't do it alone. You can get a free trial on this program clode-cd here http://static.slysoft.com/SetupCloneDVD.exe which will make burning very easy. This program can also duplicate playstation games by making them into iso's, again, a normal cd-burner program can't do that. If u wish, you can PM me, and i'll send a program to you that doesn't require any money that will do the trick. But u can do that after using Clone-Cd
