No, it's the damndest thing, they wind up at a Cradle of Filth concert and they live happily ever after. That is until Queen of the Damned came along and managed to make even less sense.

Yea "A History of Violence" was terrible. The only watchable part was where Ed Haris and his rediculous scar got blown away by that kid with the shotgun.

Hostel. Eli Roth did an admirable job of making me wish him dead in the first 30 minutes, then it got surprisingly much better, and became a very nice gore movie.

Interview with the vampire. Pretty good, though im reading the book and there are quite a lot of changes. And its weird seeing Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt as the vampires!

It seems that way. Lestat learns about artifical light, and realises a torch or streetlight wont kill him, and drives off while slater is at the point of death in slaters car, and says hes going to give him a choice blah blah blah. but what happened to Louis????? he got pissed off at slater then just fucked off! kinda weird.

But...he's seen candles and that, no? Strange film.

Edit:

This Drawing Restraint 9 thing looks interesting. Bjork on a boat?

Zad: don't try to make sense out of that movie.

i just returned from V for Vendetta, and it was nice. could've done with more action but good nonetheless. i wish they revealed more about V and how the fuck he got such a nice place and all....*

*but maybe the comic itself doesn't tell you much about his past either. i wouldn't know.

EDIT - 1000 posts. took long enough!

I wasn't impressed. It's about a nearly invincible black clad warrior who frees the masses from lies and oppression. Almost seems like these guys already made this movie......

I've never read an Anne Rice book all the way through. "Ooooh aren't vampires terribly eroric? I'm a dirty old woman!"

Yes, I am getting my point across by using made-up quotes that begin with 'Ooooh' quite a lot today. Thanks for noticing.

According to the books, vampires can't... *cough* "get it up", so it's platonic. I must say, the way Antonio Banderas was looking at Brad Pitt didn't look very platonic.

And Kirsten Dunst as a kid? Anyone else feel guilty thoughts?

I watched Leon yesterday, european version with all the Lolita stuff left in. Damn good film. Next up: The Jackal

ps: there's no particular reason why I'm in the mood for assassin movies.

Glad to hear it. :)

Leon is an excellent film. I also liked Interview With A Vampire, but Radagast's characterization of Anne Rice seems to be spot on

Saw V for Vendetta whenever it came out. I thought it was great.

Saw "Hable Con Ella" (Talk to Her) in spanish today and...well, I guess it would have been good if I could understand something of it  Fuck, is my spanish teacher overrating my grasp of the spanish language or what? :P Or maybe I just suck....
