Check out what I found on the sidewalk walking home from work the other day.

It's a luna moth which I've mounted behind glass here (hence the flash mark).

Moths are beautiful things. So delicate...it looks more like a leaf.

I actually thought it was a ginko leaf when I first saw it. It's huge - about the size of my palm.

You don't get the big ones over here. Pity...

Depends on the species. Luna moths, like mine, don't do anything but look pretty. Your shirts were probably the victim of mealyworm moths, or their Turkish equivalents. Mealyworm moths can die horrible, horrible deaths. We had an infestation of 'em a couple years ago. Royal pain in the ass to get rid of.
