Aerospace Engineering is suicide, unless Math was always an easy joke for you.
But yea if you make it out with mediocre-good votations then you will have no problem finding a job.
Telecomunication Engineering is even harder though.

I guess that was a very stupid question, having looked at your art gallery.

Naah, not really. You need to learn how to quote, though.

My sister considered biomedicinal sciences for a while, but ultimately decided she was smarter than that and decided to study medicine. It was her plan B for when plan A's entry exams proved too much, but she succeeded.

Couldn't agree more. Fuck man, empathy, sympathy, homeopathy and god knows wat all pathys are stressed here. I feel the frustration creeping up. I'm staying here just cos i dont have a choice. Fortunately, I've got metal to perk me up. :dio:

Not much to explain really, you just messed up the [ quote ] tags a couple of posts ago. No problem.

Perhaps you took the question too far, but I'll still answer.

Many people do not understand what philosophy is. It is not simply wondering about things aimlessly. Philosophy is the study of logic, reason, and reality. Philosophy majors can generally reason better than any others (which is probably why they score higher on the LSAT).

This is a skill relevant to many jobs, from business (which roughly 30% of philosophy graduates go into) to PR jobs, to whatever.

The ability to be be logical, and to to articulate your ideas well is a useful ability indeed.

On a related note, it never ceases to amaze me how condescending certain math/science/engineering people can be to people not in their fields.

I get that a lot at my study, people there generally think anything involving creativity (in a non scientific way) is shit, while I might even pitty not having chosen something like that.

I just don't see why people have to shit on each other for choosing a different career path. I have tremendous respect for engineering students and the work they put in, and I think everyone understands the value they have for society. On the average engineers are in a much more demanding field than liberal arts students, but that doesn't mean that all or even most liberal arts students are slackers/don't contribute anything to society.

I'm a senior accountant for an insurance company. It's pretty boring compared to what most of you do, but it's very stable. I work on huge Excel spreadsheets all day long. Yawn....

Oh yeah, I didn't mention yet what I'm doing these days. In the space of this academic year, I'm doing some interim jobs to save for another go at university. I became dispassioned with the social side of art, and so could not continue my etching studies. I'll go for high school teacher - Dutch, English and History.
