Turns out there are many africans around here as there are south americans! Just one!

I'm kinda surprised, am I the only South American here? Brazil, Argentina and Chile are well known for crazy metal fans ...

El Tipo, and I think there are more.

I'm South African (although I live in the UK now and have done for 10 years) thus take offense at your non-metal labelling.

Zulu Warriors are tr00 Kvlt and you know it.

African dude on page 2 of this thread wrote:
I live in Pretoria, South Africa, and metal is unfortunately extremely unpopular here. Even so, Metallica played here last year and may even return this year!!

I am not Canadian! (sorry I sounded I bit offended there) I live In Penarth, Wales, a town full of chavs and religious maniacs (It's hard for me to walk down the street without being accosted, as they don't take to kindly to long-haired metal types around here)

Pasqua you failed your geography!!! Half of us here don't know what to put.....

And why on earth did you put Malaysia along with Australia and NZ? we're thousands of miles apart.

I put them together because here we are taught that OCEANIA is a continent that consists of Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Malaysia and all other islands near. It's just the way we are taught here dude, like some people consider Mexico being Central America and some people consider it being North America ...

I understand. Actually if I'm not mistaken, NZ and Australia have recently joined Asia for sporting events. But I'm not sure whether they're considered Asian in politics and economy.

The reason they joined Asia is because of the World Cup qualification. They're often champions of Oceania but lose out because they face some South American nation. Now by joining Asia, looks they have a better chance. But watch out, China's emerging fast as a powerhouse.

AAAARGH, don't even mention the Chinese to me today ... Their stock market went -9% yesterday which caused Brazil's stock exchange to crash -6%. I lost like US$800 in just a few minutes today because of the chinese.

SHITE!! That's awful! US$800?! Jesus that's like RM 1200 here....enough to get a cool Ibanez 5 string. Anyway, that's the beauty of the chinese. They will soon monopolize world economy. Everyone depends on them.

Seremban/MalaccaPetaling Jaya/Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia

I alternate between these towns cos my hometown's in Seremban, college's in Malacca, intership in Petaling Jaya and I bum around in Kuala Lumpur quite often.

Anybody planning a trip to Malaysia soon?

I was in Malaysia last year... I spent a few days in Malacca, and it ended up being one of my favorite cities in SE Asia. The old section of town with the Chinese-style shrines was really pretty (especially when they lit up the lanterns at night), and I liked all the Pirate stuff in the museum. KL I didn't like so much... it was big and bustling, but not too interesting. Have you ever been to Kuching on the Malaysian side of Borneo? That's another place that was really laid-back and just pleasant to be in.

Oh, one thing I have to know... what's up with Chicken and Rice? Maybe I just went to all the wrong restaurants, but all I remember eating in Malaysia was Chicken and Rice... after two weeks I thought I was going to grow fucking wings.

Haha!! Well Melaka is a great place. Very historical. KL is prety much bout malls etc. Shoppers will love the place.

Well chicken and rice over here is called Chicken Rice. It's a Malaysian delicacy, popularised by the Chinese and it's a favourite. You've got many types of chicken rice, steamed chicken, roasted chicken, etc. How did like yours? But yeah, too much could be quite a bore.

By the way did you try the Nasi Lemak? It's another Malaysian favourite. Rice with anchovy chili paste, along with some nuts and cucumber. Any Malaysian studyin/stayin abroad will miss nasi lemak.

You mean roti canai? It's popular throughout the country. We call the lentils 'dhaal' curry.

so do we, but i didn't want to say that because i wasn't sure about what you called it.

it's a very indian-y dish, we eat that same dhaal (or something very similar) on a regular basis.
