Most are just poor. Sweeny Todd, Braveheart, FaceOff, Sleepy Hollow, A Beautiful Mind, The Ciderhouse Rules, Last Samurai, The Rock, Armageddon, Titanic, Saw, Liar Liar, Terminator 2, Minority Report, Ransom and The Jacket are all the sort of churned out shit that average people with boring crappy film taste suck up.

Of Angel's list, only Blade Runner, Back To The Future, LOTR, and Aliens are what I would call damn good films. Not seen the others or can't be bothered deciding.

In your opinion. :)

Minority Report is an intelligent Sience Fiction/Thriller. It has an original plot, and it was the first movie with Tom Cruise as a good actor. I think the first half of the film is a bit better but as a whole it seems very well thought through and the reslut is great.
.

"Original" plot? You've obviously never read Philip K. Dick.

Terminator 2 was dreadful. The whiny kid with his 'oh, don't kill people, just cripple them for the rest of their lives' nonsense, the Arnie-as-father-figure-bull... the liquid robot was the only truly good thing.

"The first film with Tom Cruise as a good actor" Um, no, it hasn't happened yet.

The Number 23 might have been good years ago, but the twist was unbearably trite now that it's happened in a zillion other films.

And pray tell, what was so great about The Ciderhouse Rules and Liar Liar?

No, I haven't. Better research next time before I state something like that. But I was refering to plots in movies, not books. :)

he he :D

Okay, I'm not VERY good in English and I print before I think
What I meant was how the movie looks. The surroundings are really nice and by original I meant the way it was built up around the "catching bad people before the do harm thing".

I see you guys don't agree with me. :D

What I liked about "The Ciderhouse Rules" was the overall good feeling in it and the way the actors interacted between each other.

And Liar, Liar is so gut-busting funny! If you don't like that movie you are NOT a Jim Carrey fan. :lame:

I love Michael Caine, but the day someone suggested that he do an American accent should have been the day that someone got fired.

No shit, Sherlock. Eternal Sunshine, Man On The Moon and Truman Show are his only decent-to-great films, chiefly because he either isn't acting the spaz or it actually works within the film.

Blade Runner looks at least as "old" as Taxi Driver or The Godfather...

Also fuck Minority Report. You want originality? Read Dick's books, amazing shit.
