I heard they changed the ending... HAHA NERDS TOLD YOU IT WOULD SUCK. I'll wait 'til Watchmen comes out on DVD before subjecting it to my steely gaze, haven't been to the cinema since Kill Bill 1 and I'm not changing it for the latest comic-book adaptation, especially an adaptation of a rubbish one anyways.

Yeah the ending wasn't that good, but Rorschach was badass enough to make the movie worth watching. I kinda found it annoying to see Doctor Manhattan's blue penis dangling around all the time, though

Manhattan's blue penis? For serious? They couldn't just make him a Ken doll.

Oh, and just because we dont like Judd Apatow doesn't mean we dont laugh at GOOD comedy like Arrested Development or good old Monty Python
+1.

Critics? Everyone is a critic to some degree, no?

Man Bites Dog - Some seriously holy shit moments, but overall not as good as I'd heard it to be.

Try its British equivalent/homage/ripoff, The Last Horror Movie.

Far less highbrow, but actually it shits you up way more than Man Bites Dog does (so long as you get into the spirit of it and don't apprach it in a scoffy way)

This? I really have to be in the mood for that sort of thing, as you know, but I'll keep an eye out. The reason I didn't enjoy MDG as much was because it was slightly dated, and the subtitles were hard to read at times. It's the little things... still, the moment when the film crew start joining in was so subtle and horrific. Didn't make me laugh as much as I thought, too, so maybe I'm not enough of a sick fuck.

Yes that.

But they really bollocks it up with the packaging and synopsis... if you watch it you will know what I mean.

Pretty cheap on Amazon... might go for it.

I can guess what you'll think of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sl2lmFPBGN8

Heh, I think I'm finally becomig numb to all the remakes. (This is unless a new Suspiria emerges in which case I shall be taking the first bus toward violent rampage town).

Tbh, the fact that it seems to be a Craven/Cunningham project makes it a bit less annoying for some reason. If it's just some old guys resurrecting past glories then it's easier to let them get on with it, whereas if its some trendy new director doing it, that seems to make it far less tolerable.

And  at the Sweet Child of Mine cover on the soundtrack.

I heard stuff about it but I though Dario vetoed it.

Natalie Portman? The director of Pineapple Express? What could possibly go wrong?

Oh well, maybe it will fall through.

You could always try the American version of Man Bites Dog and that is Leslie Vernon.

The Last House on the Left remake could never be as graphic as the original. I think they got rid of the genitalia biting by the mother and replaced it by putting someone's head in a microwave.

Hm, you can put someone's head in the microwave but it won't do anything because you won't be able to shut the door to turn it on.

Unless you decapitate them first, but by then they've probably suffered all they are going to.

Bring back the cockmunching!

Synecdoche, New York - strange, depressing and beautiful. not really like anything i've seen before, which i guess kind of applies to the other movies Kaufman has written, but those were all still anchored in normal movieness.
