You'd think that, wouldn't you? Finish the Dark Tower series first; stupidly, Randall Flagg's role decreases dramatically over the rest of the series. Read the Stand at some point or other, though.

Blade: Damn straight. Wait till you read A Storm of Swords, book 3...

I don't like King much, but I heard the ending of the Dark Tower series is fucking ridiculous.

I really enjoyed the ending, as did many. I can't go into too specific details without revealing spoilers, but I think it really is the best way he could have ended it (except for the final fight... The final fight was kind of dumb and relied on a deus ex machina).

Just like the ending of every single film based on a King novel.

Like Dreamcatcher? Man, I remember reading that book and thinking, "FINALLY! King writes a book I really like." I read the book in like a week, then the movies come out and WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?!

Stephen king movies are always shitty. Kubrick's The Shining and Pet Semetary are the only two that weren't a stupid made for TV movie, or a total low-budget nightmare.

Strangely, King says he hates Kubrick's version of The Shining, WTF? Kubrick nailed the atmosphere of the book perfectly in his film. So he has it remade into a shitty ABC TV miniseries, starring the guy from Wings? I'm convinced the man smokes crack.

Weird. The Shining movie even gets mentioned in Dark Tower 2.

Plus, King most certainly did a lot of drugs in the 70s. :P

Salem's Lot + the main character from Salem's Lot take a small part in the further history of the story. I'm reading DT 7(had to wait for ages untill it was available in the library) and so far..i think it's shite..über shite :?

Agreed. Both films are excellent. Tom Hanks is my favorite actor! He rules.

Another great King movie is the Stand. Its made for TV (and six hours long), but its actually very well done.

I just finished the last 150 pages of Angels and Demons. Fuck, I don't care about the catholicism-friendly message, the book was addictive like heroin. I just couldn't put it away :?

Now I don't have any ideas about what to read. Any suggestions? :P

Two of the best films ever, if you ask me.

THE SHADOW OF THE WIND!

i'm reading it now and so far it's great. love all the sobplots, and there are some nice characters (i especially like the spy/homeless guy/shop helper Fermín).

angels and demons was nice, but after 2-3 books dan brown got kinda predictable, not to mention that i hated the "movie style" flashbacks where they remembered traumatic events and shit. it's a book, not a movie!

Glad you like it! The way in which the special books are treated remind me a bit of how I used to look at kvlt BM records.

Great book, as was The Da Vinci Code, but I totally dislike the fact that both books were essentially the same exact story with different characters and places. I mean, they both start EXACTLY the same way. Not cool.

YES! The Pillars Of The Earth by Ken Follett. Read it. NOW!!
