"Star Trek VII: Generations"
A necessary evil to pass the torch from one generation to another. Not the best movie in the series, not the worst either but rather boring.

Mum and Dad

Yeah, quite dug this. Modern horror film in "generates interest in lead character's plight" shock.

Frontiers

Ok, but definitely one of those "seen it all before" films. It actually bothered me slightly because I was watching it thinking "this is fine but when was a genuinely original horror film last released?" and I couldn't think of an answer off the top of my head.

"Star Trek VIII: First Contact"
One of the best movies in the Star Trek series. The Borg are a great idea and I love how it returns to the roots of what was to become the Federation.

"Star Trek IX: Insurrection"
A good little Star Trek with a little clumsiness but a good plot and a real villain (F Murray Abraham).

"Star Trek X: Nemesis"
In my opinion, the worst with Final Frontier.

I just watched the trailer for Dragonball Evolution.

I think my childhood's been raped.

Seems like you Lucy, has been on quite the Star kick lately. :D

The Passion Of The Christ - watched it yesterday. Godd movie and although a bit dragged out it's still an underrated piece of work. I quite like the way Mel Gibson makes his movies. There isn't very much dialogue or talking but sometimes a face expression can tell more than words (This is even more evident on "Apocalypto").

Thoth - A short (45 minute) documentary about a really cool street performer. His background was kind of interesting, but I liked the parts of him performing and the talk about his influences most. It's on youtube and I'd definitely recommend watching at least the first 5 minutes or so.

Star Trek

SO GOOD

Seriously, genuinely entertaining and easily allows you to keep up suspension of disbelief...main problem with ridiculous movies most of the time. But I anyways really liked it, some really intense action, solid story, cool special effects, everything.

I haven't seen "88 minutes". But from all the bad reviews and all I don't think I really want to. But regarding the other thing. It's my opinion and that's all. Why is it bollocks? Call it ignorant, call it stupid or call it whatever you want... it's still just an opinion. Just like yours.

No, it's not. And the fact that you write something like that, tells me that you have absolutely no clue on what what you're talking about
It's a film trying to express certain emotions and atmospheres which you simply cannot understand. The last hours of Jesus wasn't the "fairytale" you got showed down your throat growing up. It was so much more than that. In fact, The Bible is sometimes horrific and quite brutal. And this is exactly what the film manages to express. That Jesus was most certainly afraid of what was coming, yet he had to endure it all for mankind. It's epic and it's touching. Period.
