Well, this has been a seriously poor World Cup for England. We really wasted the potential of a very talented group of players.

We sucked, but I don't think Portugal deserved to win. Cynical, dishonourable, arrogant, wussy... and that's just Cristiano Ronaldo harr harr. They're like the Argentina squad but 10x worse (lol @ Argentina btw)

That way of doing things seems to be working for them so far, but it's not impressive against a 10 man and malfunctioning England team. If there's one good thing that came out of that unpleasant match, it's that we'll all get to see the old enemy turned best friend eating Portugal alive

Go France!

In fairness I said the same thing before the game. I'm sad we lost, but it's a simple fact that Portugal behaved poorly. You watched the match didn't you?

Falling on the ground grabbing your (insert random body part) everytime England gained possesion of the ball might be one thing rio is referring to.

I mean that in terms of "bad sportsmanship"- ie diving, winding up opposition players, faking injury to waste time, surrounding the referee and telling him what to do etc, Portugal have stood out as one of the two or three worst teams at this tournament.

It's worked for you so far, and it might work for you against France, but I just don't like to watch it. That's why I will be supporting France. They've had their moments (I expected more from Henry :( ), but on the whole they've had a lot less than Portugal.

Yes, I am a bad loser- notoriously so. I once violently attacked my (ex)best friend after he beat me in a game of Connect 4, and I once punched a whole in my bedroom door after losing at Pro-Evo. All stuff I'm pretty embarassed about now... HOWEVER, I still think what I have said is true about Portugal in the last two games (Holland and England) I'm not making excuses, because we sucked and deserved to go out...

I remember the last 2 games we had with England, and guys, seriously, good sportsmanship is not exactly your forte.

Yeah. I'm glad it's not just bitter England fans that were annoyed by that.

I'm not saying we didn't do it sometimes, I'm just saying certain other teams did it a heck of a lot more.

Vs Holland they're the ones that came in ready to kill, injuring Ronaldo just minutes into the match.

but i agree, we could and should've done better, both in performance and sportsmanship, when playing against England.

I was just playing Day of Reckoning 2 and as I was about to lose I threw my control at the TV and ripped my Gamecube out of the wall, proceeding to throw it across the room. Thankfully the Gamecube is well built and didn't break.

Well... Now, I'm sure Germany will win his Championship.
A team with Gatusso playing doesn't deserve to win, altough Zambrotta is playing very well.
A team with Pauleta as the ¿scorer? doesn't deserve to win, altough Deco can change a lot of things.
A team that has left Guily out doesn't deserve to win, altough Zidane is shutting all the mouths that are trying to retire him. And Henry has to wake up some day...

So, I'd bet on Germany - France in the final, 3-1 Germany win.

who's trying to retire Zidane but Zizou himself? he's the one who wants to hang up his boots after the World Cup. he wants to go out in style rather than fade away.

First, Zidane has played a very awful season in Real Madrid.
And spanish press started with "Spain will retire Zidane today" (well, and it seems that Zidane retire Raul from spanish team). Roberto Carlos said that "I'm gonna ask him not to retire after this game", assuming Brazil was going to beat France...

...stamping on someone's balls. I love how Ronaldo is more to blame for England's exit than Rooney.

Yeah, some people seem to think that if it wasn't for Ronaldo, Rooney wouldn't have been sent off. this is BS - so Ronaldo talks to the ref and he shows a red card? by that logic, he could talk to the ref and make him send off 2 or 3 more England players, and none of Portugal's players would be carded.
