Paradise Now 9/10
Won a Golden Globe and with a good reason.
About two friends who are recruited to commit a suicide bombing in Tel Aviv. Non-violent movie that makes you think. Really disturbing.

Lord Of War 8/10
Entertaining movie with Nicolas Cage which tells the story of an arms dealer in an ironic way.

The Big White
7/10
Humor like Fargo, but not as good. Nice one to watch at home on DVD.

Lord Of War was more of a 6.5 for me.

Recently:
Flightplan - Not as bad as I thought it would be, probably due to SEAN BEAN!
Revolver - Bah. First bit had potential, then it vanished up its own arse completely.
Cheaper By The Dozen 2 - Steve Martin is so dead to me. And why do people think Eugene Levy is funny?

Indeed. Sharpey. 8) Bring forth Silent Hill. In fact, look at this awesome flow chart:

Flightplan
"Where's my girl?"
"She's dead."
"Nuh-uh."

CONSPIRACY

The Dark
"Where's my girl?"
"She's dead."
"Nuh-uh."

TEH SUPERNATURAL

Silent Hill
"Where's my girl?"
"Dunno."
"I see." *browses*

TEH SUPERNATURAL

What's the common factor here? Sharpey as the well-meaning but skeptical guy.

He's the King of the Jews, Zad. The sooner you accept this, the sooner we can move on with our lives.

/\ /\ Ah. I thought it'd be something like that, but I wasn't sure. Speaking of Jews, that remake of the Producers is something I'm going to stay away from.
Musical + Will Ferrell + Remake + Will Ferrell + Annoying shit from Ferris Bueller + Will Bleeding Ferrell = Avoid.

Volver, the last Almodovar film. Very good. A lot better than "la mala educacion" (Bad Education), and, inmo, better than "Hable con ella" (Talk to her).

Ice Age 2. Better than Ice Age, but still the squirrel parts are really tons better that the rest, as in the first.

Silent Hill. Never played the games so I can't comment on how true they are to the games. I liked the movie though. Pyramidhead was fucking crazy.

There was quite abit of changes in the movie (good ones IMO however). I think alot of them were to make it be able to play out as a movie, not a video game. I however think that the spirit of the games was captured perfectly, I loved this film.

Pyramid Head was indeed fucking crazy, as was the barbed wire. There will be alot of hate towards this movie (Hell, there already is) about the acting and the plot, personally, I think its fine. I dont watch horror movies for oscar performances and the plot is good, if not slightly confusing in places. The imagery more than makes up for anything that could be argued wrong.

8.7/10

I want to see the original, though, the 1968 version that was directed by Mel Brooks.

Yeah it didn't make a lick of sense, and the dialogue was pretty laughable, but I really enjoyed it. Human-faced cockroches bowing to the will of a big chib-weilding bastard with a pyramid for a head! Fucking insanity!

I've seen it and it's the equivalent to being anal raped with a broken bottle.

Yeah, I didn't understand the ending. Probably because I never played the games. Why couldn't they get out of the weird world or whatever they were in. I figured once they left silent hill they would go see daddy and hug, kiss, and cry. So what was the deal with it still being all ashy and them not being able to see each other. Were they dead?
