I've never really gotten the point of Guitar Hero... Why not just play guitar (though, this is coming from both a guitar player and someone who's never played the game)?

Because it's a damn fun game that, unlike real guitar, doesn't require spending tons of money, taking lessons, or hours of practice.

Actually, I guess it does require hours of practice but it's still damn fun. And plus, I'd say the experience--while similar--is still different from actually playing guitar. I've always thought of it like asking "Why play Dance Dance Revolution? Just go dance in a real night club." Doesn't really make sense to me...

I can beat almost every song on Hard in GHI, and I want to get GHII this holiday season...

Sounds like a plan. Though the Dance Dance Revolution analogy is faulty; the only reason I could imagine someone wanting to play that is if they're severely mentally retarded. Really, why would you pay so that you can have a seisure on a pad?

I'll have to check out Guitar Hero the next time I'm with a friend with a PS2, then.

Ha, don't take what I say seriously on that. I just find DDR to be one of the strangest things I've ever seen; really, people who are experts at it look like they have epilepsy. Not to mention J pop... eww.

I could imagine how one could find they look ridiculous. And yes, the music is horrid. I wish I could put my own songs on it myself.

I lost 16.5 pounds in 1 month playing the home version (I wont play it in public) I do it mainly for a workout as Im very anti-social and I dont like working out and sweating at gyms, or outside jogging, so DDR is a good way for me to not get to fat. Plus my GF bought it so its freeee.

Importent Edit: So suck on my balls BK! :P

guitar hero is fun mainly to show off your fast fingers without having a guitar and an amp. lolz. even though the song selections suck.

I don't really think the songs suck...I can see that they wanted to satisfy anyone who might play the game, so they included stuff from a variety of genres (even not-so-good ones...). At least they included some metal. And plus, just because it's not metal doesn't mean it's not good.

Mafia for PS2.

Worst game I have played in a long long time and my gf owns a DS. ZING! :P

Even though it sucks, I however cannot stop playing it. It might just be my need to beat every game I start.

i'm sorry but i don't really see the thrill in this game, about 15 minutes and you can outdrive anything or anyone, and the missions are for 95% of the time a bit too easy. On the other hand, i like the new features and i'll probably play this for a while now, as i did with almost all GTA's

I find that GTA really reached its peak with III; maybe just because it was the first 3rd person (as opposed to overhead) GTA I've played, but I found it to be a lot more fun than the other ones, even though you could do cool things like ride motorcycles and helicopters and stuff.

Duke Nukem 3d is the pinnacle of videogames, no game will ever surpass it.

I just hired Ninja Turtles on X Box from the video store, and it's so scratched up it won't play.
