I watched it one night at like 1 am in detroit in a transport truck. Now that was spooky. It was mainly being out that late in Detroit that made it spooky, but spooky nonetheless.

I've heard worse stories of Detroit than of The Blair Witch... but are the stories true? Is it really as frightening as they say? Or will I just be let down like I was with Blair Witch if I ever visit it?

Depends where you go, how long you stay, etc.

I saw these 2 black guys (OMG racism!) "fighting" in the street and when a car came down that street it would have to stop because the two guys were fighting. As soon as the car stopped, they robbed the driver. This was just spitting distance down the road from the hotel we stayed at.

Where they actually, genuinely fighting? Or was it just a setup to rob the car?

No idea. From where we were, it looked pretty real. But they seemed to be good friends when the car stopped.

Obviously Detroit has high poverty and crime problems, but shit like this happens everywhere. I went to Detroit and I didn't love it or anything, but it's not the scariest place ever if you don't make it so.

You and I have had this conversation before. I was not scared to be in Detroit, it was just weird waking up and having at least 3 homeless people in sight right outside my hotel door. 2 were not close, but the one was like right at the front door passed out. At least the homeless in Toronto sleep under bridges and places like that.

Armageddon. For some reason it's one of my favorite movies, and it's Michael Bay's only great work as far as I'm concerned.

Oh man... I've never seen that movie but I loled at the thought of it.

Watched Batman Begins and currently watching The Dark Knight. The former is a really fucking good movie and the second isn't bad either and comparably good to the the first, nowhere near the 9th best movie ever.

Resident Evil Extinction - Very poor, hardly even entertaining. Lazy apart from anything - repeating parts of the first film? Those stupid lasers and the AI kid? And when did she become a massive psychic? So ridiculous.

District 9. What a fucking brilliant piece of work. Top notch. You hear me, top notch. 2009s Dark Knight, if the comparison isn't too far off. I have a theory that people who disliked that one will equally not be as impressed here either. I might be totally wrong though, dunno. Who has seen both? Share yarr thoughts.

I Love You, Man - not bad at all, but if it was like fucking Bon Jovi instead of Rush I'd have liked it a lot less.
