This is absolutely not true. I objected to the contents of the blog I linked simply because the author has no fucking clue of what she's on about, regardless of "blood", which is evident to anyone reading that who's spent even a single in day in the country.

Woke up this morning and saw all these new posts from a new poster, thought I bet it's Steve. But then thought thats silly, he'd never come back. Then to log on again, see way more posts only to have my hopes and dreams crushed.

Anybody ever receive spam from a name that you recognize? Someone received an email with my name on it, but not from an email that I've ever created. It seemed super odd to me.

Yes. And sometimes with the address too. With a SMTP server you can e-mail whoever you want with the appearing name and address you want, it's actually quite simple. All you need is the data (a trojan, spyware, or virus can do the job).

Bottomline: You may want to scan your computer for trojans, spywares, or viruses. If you're clean, then someone who's got you in his/her address book perhaps is infected.

Or, you and your acquaintance just let your names somewhere on the internet, or something like that.

That's happened to me relating to my dad and my cousin. Received emails from them but they weren't from them.

Yeah, it has happened to me. It's often something you can't control from your end though. Sometimes a virus infects the computer of someone you know, and gets into their email address book. I know this because a bunch of people I know all got weird spam emails coming from the same guy, a friend of ours who obviously hadn't sent them himself.

this made me ask myself two questions:
- at what point exactly did the couple begin to think that was a good idea?
- why didn't i become a doctor?
