Well, I just destroyed an old circular fan. F****** Cardinals and F****** Yankees. Baseball is always the same F****** teams.

American sports need to follow suit from Australian sports and introduce a strict, hard salary cap. Regardless of how much money a team has, they're not allowed to spend more on players than what's fair for every team. Going over the cap results in extremely harsh penalties. All our sports here have it and we have different champions all the time. It's the fairest, most sporting system.
I can't wait for the redistribution of wealth... in sports. Luckily, I was at school when the Reds lost. I was pissed. I want them to pick up Hamilton for next year.

Fair enough, you like it your way, I won't say you're wrong. But I will say I find it hard to understand why anyone would want the same few teams to always win at everything. Isn't the point to see who has the most skill and the best strategies? The excitement is lost if comes down to a contest of who has more money to buy up all the players. Kind of defeats the purpose, I would have thought.

Nah your right when it comes to sports. It's not very exciting but every now and then an underdog will rise up and shit gets interesting. But for the most part your right.

Only at a relative bargain. Will be interesting to see what he signs for this winter.

Do you think he's not worth it? I loved the guy when he was coming up through our system. Cut Scott Rolen's $8 million salary and Ludwick's $2 and you have $10 freed up for a guy who made $13 last year. Not to mention how Cairo and Valdez are overpaid, if even worth having at all.

Interesting page insofar as it has the teams' payrolls ranked against one another. I think next year the Reds will bump up to $90 million with Votto's pay increase, which still only puts them in the middle of the pack.

I'm under the impression that he was looking for at least 5 years, 100 million. Like the author of this article believes, I don't see him getting 30 million a year: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1346188-why-josh-hamilton-is-not-worth-30-million-per-year-on-the-open-market Enduring questions about his health remain, and he didn't end the season on the tear he begin it on. It is possible he gets underrated after all this, but he still remains the biggest free agent name available, and thus I don't see how the Reds could afford him.

Daaaaamn. Did not expect that given his health, his lower batting average how he didn't play strong in the second half.

the Stratos thing was amazing but Joseph Kittinger is still the bigger badass for having done it at close to the same height and with much more dated technology.

anyway, the reason i am posting in this thread now is because i have a link to a gif of some fat chick getting fucked in the bellybutton. it's really... quite... something. should i post it? CAN i post it? lol.

I love this post. And honestly, sadly, if you don't post the link, PM me that because I can't stop laughing just thinking of it and it might be super horrifying to witness but I laugh at the thought of it so I might as well check it out at least once. It couldn't be the worse thing I've ever seen.
