Don't indirectly disagree with me.

I don't like ACDC either, but I'd never say that I hate them.

I usually just ignore bands I dislike for the most part.

You kind of hate AC/DC...?

Doesn't compute.

I can understand if someone thinks they're too samey. Or if they only like 1 or 2 albums.

But HATE? Towards AC/DC? From a person who likes heavy music. I never thought that was possible.

We are at MR. Home of complete disrespect for the classics.

Most popular bands at MR: Protest the Hero, Coheed & Cambria, Between the Buried and Me, and Zads small penis.

Zad has a penis?

Sorry, Zad, I couldn't let the oppurtunity go by...

They have some good stuff from the Bon Scott era, but after that, meh. I do like Thunderstruck and For Those About To Rock, though.

Yeah, I do enjoy And Then There Was Rock. That is a cool song.

The thing about AC / DC is you gotta stick to the standouts in small doses. When this approach is taken, they are quite good.

Wow, this is blowing my mind.

Here in Australia, as you might imagine, Acca Dacca, as we lovingly know them, are GODS.

I'm just so used to everyone loving the shit out of them that this has caught me by surprise.

As for

Still disagree. Every single album from 1975 - 1981 is absolutely essential listening for everyone, ever. I mean the original australian releases. Because i think the states got amalgamated versions with the best cuts from the first few albums.

And then after 1981, there's still a couple more albums i'd consider essential, but Brian Johnson, god love him, is still no Bon.

Oh I'm not knocking AC / DC, I love the Scott era... as for Brian Johnson, well, like you said he's not Bon. I remember when he died, and when Back In black came out, Hell's Bells, Shoot to Thrill, Have Drink On Me are all excellent tracks, but it just wasn't the same.

Yeah, its funny too because his voice is so very strikingly similar.

But I guess it proves that there's just more to being a legend than how your voice sounds.

Bon just exuded the spirit of rock. He embodied it.

FUN FACT: Bon Scott died of alcohol poisoning. The official cause of death, as listed by the coroner on his report was "Death by Misadventure". Nice.

His swan-song album being Highway To Hell seals that embodient, as well.

Hate was too strong of a word--I can still dig songs from Back in Black, one at a time. But yeah, I don't think I could listen to much more than that.

Simply, the Ichneumon wasp. I studied several years of biology at Uni and I got fascinated with insects. There is something very cool about the way the word sounds, too.

And also in part from the Axis of Perdition album. :dio:
