PATHFINDER

A potentially killer upcoming movie. There's not enough movies on Vikings. We'll see...the dialogue sounds a bit shoddy, but it looks cool.

Looks much better than the 13th Warrior. :P At least the Vikings actually resemble Vikings. And don't those horned helmets just turn you on?

See it, see it now. A truly frightnening vision of the future, plus it has robot cops. Every movie needs robot cops.

Indeed. It was his first major film. The special effects are awesome, naturally. It's a really deep movie, something everyone should see.

I've heard a lot of mixed thing about this film but being a huge Si-Fi fan i can't believe i've not seen it yet and judged for myself. I always seem to forget about this when i rent out a film.

It doesn't have a lot of action. It's really cerebal, and you have to really pay attention to get it. Aside from an underwhelming ending, it's quite good. It's important for the subject matter, very 1984-ish, but done way better than the 1984 movie.

I have to say i'm very intrested in seeing it. I heard it compaired with 1984 by a few people, but it is a land mark in science fiction writing so its to be expected that ideas get copied and evolved. Its difficult to come across a science fiction film with a trully oringinal idea.

We'll see. I was reading about it last night at the rumor is that it's got no storyline, no depth and just putters along. Of course, that means very little as very few people have likely seen it. I did notice the dialogue was a little rough, but generally when you've got genuine foreigners, or in this case, it appears, Indians, you're going to find the English dialogue to lack a certain element of emotion, you know?

Surely the appeal is the lack of plot? Here's how I predict it'll go:

Peaceful Red Indian village.
Viking invade, kill lots of Indians. Accidently leave kid behind.
Indians bring kid up.
Vikings come back.
Kid kills Vikings.
Odin comes down from sky and zaps kid.
Indians mourn, bury him.
End.

Over the Hedge - Had some pretty funny parts and was short enough that it didn't get boring. There was a guy behind me that repeated every fucking line though. If there hadn't been so many little kids around I would have just turned around and told him to shut the fuck up. Anyways pretty good movie.

that Virgin movie sucks. the premise held great potential, but the movie ended up sucking. you could see every single joke coming from miles away.
