Hey all! I am a (very) longtime reader of Metalreviews and a metalhead for 25+ years, though I don't often participate in the forums. I've also been a writer of SF and Fantasy novels for most of those years, trying to break into commercial publishing. I almost made it, landing an agent who represents some huge bestsellers, but damn, publishing is tough to crack. (Imagine Blind Guardian trying to crack the US Top 40. Or Top 400, for that matter...!)
This year I've finally decided to go the indie route with two books. The most "metal" of them is THE PATH OF RAVENS, which is Book I of a series, ASGARD vs. ALIENS. It's got Odin, Valkyries, Loki, frost giants, Hel, Freya, Balder, Yggdrasil, and more, plus Ares and some Greek myths to boot. It all builds to an epic battle to save Asgard from nasty, tentacled monsters. The ebook is $2.99 at Amazon. It needs some sales and reviews to get the ball rolling, and BY ODIN'S BALLS, it is hard to get noticed!

My other book draws on Greek History and is called ATHENIAN STEEL (no, that's not a Greek metal band--but it should be!). It's about a sexy, deadly space-chick who lands in ancient Greece and starts wrecking the place. It's got much more "mature" content than Path of Ravens...

I hope no one counts this as Spamming. I've probably read every Power/Prog/Symphonic/Folk/Viking/Gothic/Doom review on this site for the last decade!
