Piculas said he did not know of any other accusations that would have led to the action.

The teacher said he is concerned that the incident may prevent him from getting future jobs.

The religious right seems to be evolved in both cases. The latter is just redicilous.. puritanical bullshit


... it is not as problematic as that one time when a school board somewhere in America got invaded by religious nutcases who wanted to replace Darwin and science with the bible on that particular school - they got pretty far with their ideas.

If by "that one time" you mean "the way the entire South has been for the past hundred years or so"...then yes. You're probably thinking of the Scopes trial; that's only one kerfluffle in an ongoing debate. My favorite incident was one in Oklahoma in which the intelligent design crowd almost snuck in their bullshit by stressing repeatedly that they weren't talking about God, oh no indeed, they simply didn't know what said designer was. Unfortunately for them, the Raelians immediately stood up and said, "OH! We certainly know!" They backed down rather quickly after that. (I love the Raelians, by the way. They're my favorite cult.)
