Man, this show rocked! For those who don't know what it is, it's a parody show where really awful B-Movies are watched (in their entirety) and lampooned by a predominantly robotic team of professional B-movie critics. Here's a link to part 1 (of 10) of the best episodes, lampooning "Manos" The Hands Of Fate. Rightfully considered to be one of the (possibly THE) worst movies of all time.

The remaining nine parts are on the Youtube sidebar, of course.

Anybody else here a fan of this show?

By the way, a little history. The movie ("Manos") was directed by a fertilizer salesman (with no knowledge or experience with movie making) as part of a bet with a friend that he could produce an entire feature-length movie. Of course, none of the movie's actors ever managed to do any movie outside of this one (the actor who played Torgo committed suicide around the time the movie was released  ), and despite pitching a couple more films to disinterested film production companies, the movie's director never made another movie again and I guess went back to work as a fertilizer salesman.

Miss.

I've seen the one with Manos, and a few others and I honestly don't get what's so great about it. The films are mostly really bad, obviously, and the jokes aren't that funny. I'm not sure if I need to get to know the characters to appreciate the humour or something, because I really don't get it.

Also, Manos was recorded with a camera that could record image, but no sound. The sound was dubbed on after filming and the only voice-actor was the director.

EDIT - Sorry, there were actually 3 voice-actors. Two men and a woman.

Seen a few clips, s'okay. I think I'd need to be in a certain mood (ie have drunk lots of alcohol) to appreciate lots of it, though.

People that don't think its funny simply aren't getting the references. Oftentimes which reference the show itself. So its a catch 22.
