I played it once in school. Like cricket, but Americanized! I suppose I should in fairness say something like 'at least baseball has rules you can follow, unlike Aussie Rules'.

Also whenever I watch cricket I like watching Australia bat but get bored when they're bowling....wonder if it's the same in baseball?

What is the same is that when you play in school you have to stand at the edge of the field and are mind-rottingly bored. Then you bat and you get the class bastard who just throws the ball at you. Cricket balls, for the benefits of Americans, are very hard and hurt like buggery. I hated school.

all i know about baseball is that the Cubs are awesome. i spent some time in Chicago and the way everyone still loved the club (i'm sorry, franchise) even though they haven't won anything since 1842 or something really got to me.

seriously lol, my own team has played 5 Champion's League (like the superbowl or stanley cup i guess) finals since 1963 and lost every single one, yet they are still the biggest club in Portugal :dio:

Baseball is the American equivalent of Rounders, not of Cricket.

In fact, I think rounders is just a version of baseball especially adapted for 10 year old British children.

I was glad to see the Phillies win. I have never been a Rays fan. However I would've loved to see Torre win away from NY, so really I wanted to see LA in the World Series. :lame:
