I've found that when I play my thrash especially when I'm shredding if I load up the reverb I get awesome killer sound with my distortion. What do you guys do with reverb??? Where does your knob stand on your rig???

Depends on your guitar, your pedals and your amp, doesn't it. I prefer not playing with my distortion turned all the way up, but I'm no thrash guitarist.

I play with a ton of distortion. It just makes it easier to play faster and louder. And it makes harmonics much more of a breeze. I usually get better sound when I solo with reverb.

I'm also no thrash guitarist but I can tell you that you sohuld be very careful with reverb, especially in a live situation. When applied to a recording it can create room and atmosphere, live it can wash everything out and make it all a blur. Which I guess is good if you're My Bloody Valentine, not great for stuff that requires definition though.

I've had pretty good results piling it on for solos in recordings. But I do agree it can really hurt riffs.

Not a big fan of it, especially when I'm doing thrashy stuff.
