My little sister's birthday is coming up soon, was wondering about giving her my much-loved Sony 8GB and upgrading myself to one of these 2nd gen. iPod touchscreen things. Anyone got one? Are they any good? Etc. |

I truly despise Apple and every single product they have ever done. If they sold apples I wouldn't even buy that. I fucking loathe them. I say buy something else. Anything. Creative, Samsung, Philips... Anything but and apple product. Fucking overpriced pieces of crap. |

I have an iTouch and I think it's fucking great. I got the 32gb one and I use it everyday. Good sound, decent battery time and it's purty! .:crast:. |

As long as the files are mp3's, iTunes will work fine. Even if they're in some other format like wma, you can convert them to mp3. My dad and my sister both have an ipod touch. They're pretty sweet, the internet browser is particularly cool. I'd get one if they had more storage. My ipod classic has a 160GB hard drive and its over half full. |

Yepp, it sure will. Allthough I must say, I find iTunes to be a bit of a pain in the ass. But once you've gotten everything onto your iPod you don't have to fuck about with it so much. .:crast:. (I still haven't gotten all the artwork on it tho, :() |

Haha, damn right. My Sony's a beautiful thing, she's a lucky girl to get it! Only problem with getting an iPod touch is the cost, and I'm not really in a high-wi-fi area, so all the internet stuff might not be much use. Still, I could eat my lunch outside whilst listening to something and writing a review on it, right? Don't need more than 8-16GB really, even though I have at least 130GB of music at home. |

I have an 80gig ipod Classic. No need for a touch. I loooooooooove my iiipoooood. I agree though with Az. As if you're not actually buying her something. I'd probably be like "uhhhm... thanks... jerk" if my brother gave me a hand-me-down as a gift |

And as I reiterated above, there is nothing wrong with my Sony. It's less than a year old, even. But I have been wondering about getting her another sorta MP3 player, since she won't need a Touch (she is 12 years old, would you have gotten anything as cool from your brother at that age?) |

They're all basically the same, it all comes down to if you want to be non-conforming and not buy an iPod. iTunes is kind of a pain in the ass though, I really don't understand that program. |
