Okay, as I mentioned in the TV Shows thread (http://www.metalreviews.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=283600#283600), I shamefully admit to having a soft spot for these. May be a big part of the reason why is because teen culture has always fascinated me, even as a little kid. And it's especially interesting to see what it was like during the very-early 90's (around the time "my generation" was brewing). 90210, My So-Called Life, etc.

What does everybody else here think of them? Go ahead and hurl insults if you'd like, btw. :)

It's funny. That's why I posted it. To be specific, it's "Kramer The Pimp."

I had a soft spot for those shows when I was younger. Actually, considering the main draws for me were girls like Jenny Garth and Tiffani Amber-Thiessen, it was more like a hard spot.

Jenny Garth, FTW! Shannen Doherty was also cute. Even though she was only on 90210 for the first few seasons.

Interestingly, I think Thiessen also played Kelly Kapowski on Saved By The Bell. A show I and just about every other elementary school kid watched back in the early-90's.

Sometimes I watch them cause its a distraction from real life for a while until i suddenly remember "oh wait, thats right, shits fucked up".
Although I prefer feel-good teen comedy/drama films for that sort of thing.

BTW, did Claire Danes dye her hair just for My So-Called Life or did she actually dye it on her own in real life?

I think I saw part of an episode of Dawson's Creek once without realising what it was... otherwise, I can vaguely remember something called Saved By The Bell from early childhood, but nothing solid, it must have been on in the background or something.

But to deliberately watch these? I echo the sentiments of the gentleman who posted above me.

The most similar thing I've seen is The young ones.

I'd hardly call The Young Ones an early/mid 90's teen drama.

The Young Ones is totally awesome, btw.

haha...
Immigration Officer #1: What about homosexuality, Tony? You like men, huh? You like to dress up like a woman?
Tony Montana: What the fuck is wrong with this guy, man? He kidding me or what?
Immigration Officer #2: Just answer the questions, Tony!
Tony Montana: Okay. No. Okay? Fuck no!

The above exchange is what I immediatley thought of when I saw this thread.
The only right answer to both questions is, Fuck no, mang!

Alright, here goes: Your only "soft spot" is the one directly above your neck, for admitting to liking this shit.
