So you're asking for a crackdown? Double-standards, where? |

You mean there should be more moderating or less? If the former, what should have been moderated, and if the latter, what shouldn't have been? |

It was moved to Helheim. What, you want arguments stopped? |

Personally I'm not going to lock many of those topics. Move them to Helheim, sure, but what is life without a few arguments? |

We can't win. Lock threads and ZOMG fascist lock threads crazy that hinders arguments. Don't lock threads and ZOMG double standards lack of moderating. I'm quite prepared to lock down and start locking and deleting if that is what's wanted, but some specific examples of what is wrong might be nice other than a thread with an argument in it. |

Well 1, selective locking of threads. 2 general behaviour on the forum IE personally insulting people etc. Whats more boring that reading Zad and Ken go on about who is smarter? Also on the issue of Ken, why not just lock the thread immediately? That thread could easily have been a post in the videos thread in helheim or in the now playing thread or whatever. (Yes I posted a stupid thread too I know. But at least it was in helheim, and it got locked, but a random sports post yelling about something no one else knows about doesn't? There is a sports thread...) |

Keyword PERSONAL. An argument about music is acceptable. |

Happy now? I can assure you that the argument was continued via the medium of PM, and if I were to start locking threads as quickly as you like then certain retards would start threads about how fascist I'm being. Pleasing everyone is impossible. |

(@ Rhys) Meh, fair enough if someone creates a completely new thread for something that is obviously covered elsewhere. In fact, just this morning I locked that "Martyrs" thread for that very reason. As for arguments; nah, my opinion is that things should generally stay open no matter how heated/puerile they are. However I do think that moderating should be subject to democratic pressure so if a clear majority of the forum says that they'd like threads such as the Ken/Goat one to get locked quicker, then mods should respond to that. However, that thread has already been locked, so what is the problem? |

Where is this sports thread? |

Pleasing everyone is quite the task around here. As Zad said, if we start locking more threads, people say we're power hungry, if we let them go, people say we're not doing our job. I think I generally fall in line with rio's view on locking argument threads. That said, if someone starts a thread that is clear flamebait (which Rhys' "Schooled" thread was borderline) I'll just delete it straightaway as I realize most of you probably don't care to read what will ensue. Bottom line, if the majority has a real problem with the way things are being done, we will certainly look into change. In addition, as much as I'd like to say I see everything, sometimes things get missed. If you see a thread that needs to be locked/deleted, feel free to PM me about it. EDIT: Also, Rhys, you're making a bit much of the sports thread. I knew what NESS' thread was about, as I'm sure any US college football fan would. There is not a general sports thread, there is a football (aka soccer) thread and an NHL thread. The sport he was talking about is neither. Is it really that bothersome to you? If so, and there are others like you, perhaps we can consolidate all sports related threads to one big all encompassing one. I don't think locking your thread (which was borderline flamebait) and not locking NESS' thread constitutes a double standard. Of course, I did neither, so this is just my opinion. |

Unless our little spat was the reason, but then you're the one that started it. You also moderated my subject title, for no reason. I believe that would constitute a mod overstepping his boundaries, because you're doing this stuff to fuck with me. |
