27/11/1920 - 23/12/2009

Descendant of a noble house,
Wife to the late Jozef Baeyens,
Mother of five,
Grandmother of twelve,
Great-grandmother of twelve,
Continuing the noble house.

Always in heart and soul dedicated to the cause. Eighty-nine years old, despite a lifetime of diabetes and, these last fifteen years, a transplanted heart valve. She raised her children largely by herself due to the early death of my grandfather. Ever generous to any and all. Hardy, self-conscious and independent until the end.

Truly a great loss to Flandern, and to humanity.

Commiserations, Karmo. What was her cause?

Death is difficult to deal with, especially around the holidays. Sorry for your loss.

Flemish nationalism. And virulent opposition to the French ;)

Sorry about your loss around this time of year
However, i'm sure it was better having all the family around, than not.
