I hope he doesn't write a gay ending where everyone gets what they want and live happily ever after. I don't see that happening though.

well, he hasn't been afraid to kill off liked or POV characters, so i don't see why he wouldn't go for a bleak ending.

but overall yeah i think he's going to make the "good guys" win, at least some of them. and by good buys i mean mostly the Stark gang, maybe Danny too.

When I saw his blog entry yesterday I got so excited. It's been almost 6 years since his last book, and 11 since his last published Tyrion/Dany/Jon/Bran chapter. Kind of insane to think that the last time I read a Tyrion chapter I was in high school. So much happiness!

As for the ending- I'm thinking it'll be very bittersweet. Either Dany or Jon isn't making it to the very end.

Dang, didn't even know this series was still going. I've never read any of it, but a friend of mine used to be obsessed with it. I feel like I'm out of good series to read lately, so maybe I'll start this.

Highly recommended. Also check out the show starting in April on HBO if you can, it looks amazing. They got Sean Bean to play a lead role.

Sounds awesome, I'll have to check out both the books and the show.

I wish they would make more good tv shows from fantasy novels and historical novels. There's too much crap on TV, but I really liked that mini series they made of Pillars of the Earth.

The initial reaction has been crazy for the HBO show. A bunch of magazines named it the most anticipated show of 2011 and I don't think that it'll disappoint with all the talent that's behind it.

Ya, the HBO shows looks pretty- awesome- I've watched a few trailers and some scenes that they've released and I can't imagine it will be bad.
