The corporate culture has often been a smokescreen over the real issue of a pertinent issue I shall post. In modern times and while it is often true the bedfellows of monsters such as Pfizer and other pharmaceutical giants have boded as unusual bedfellows with physicians. However, even with the separate entity of corruption, I am curious as to what modern technology and medical advances will bring about in medicine. Do you believe that there will come a day when the lexicon of human ailments will be solved? Do you see a tomorrow where diseases, maladies, and viruses such as AIDs are curable? What nation will be the first to advance medicine for the good of all humankind?

I have an incurable condition and I certainly hope it will be curable some day. For me, for the 2.5 million people like me, for the generations to come. That's all I meant.

I think salvation will come with wealth. The richer nations are, the better.

Absolutely impossible. AIDS is not a virus and every peer reviewed paper highlighting the research that shows this is met with harsh criticism before they even read the thing or consider any of it's points, for example.

There will be no cures, sorry to say. The medical industrial complex has been known to buy ideas and shelve them if they interfere with their business model in any way.

If you want a cure for cancer or anything else, develop it yourself and keep it a secret.

Holy fuck, who is this guy? And why does he give a shit about this crap.

Well no, it's a disease. HIV is, though.

I am outraged by this insult and slander. I am French, I am a dopehead, BUT I AM CERTAINLY NOT A COMEDIAN.

Err... no, wait !

(Sorry I had to paraphrase a bit.)

I have the chance to know cancer survivors, who would not have stood a chance 10 or 15 years ago. And I'm pretty sure they didn't develop the cure themselves  :D

Been doing some researching and reading on micronutrients and serious diseases. Wrote a 20 page paper on the relationship between Vitamin E and Alzheimer's Disease as well as other types of dementia. While it's not evident as treatment yet, it looks like it has a subsantial preventive effect..

People need to stop obsessing about Marxism, and start worrying about what they eat.

In the case of MS, of which I don't recall the cause(s), I'm not too sure though.

But there are a subsantial amounts of cancer types that's prevented with a healthy diet. A quick look over at WHO will reveal that, I won't bother with links. This should be common knowledge. Fruits and Vegetables shows a significant decreased risk for colon cancer among other things.

+ 3000, at least.
However, I am all for eating fruits and vegetables, but by doing so you expose yourself to another problem : pesticides. They cause cancers too...

And to this day, nobody knows what causes of MS. Only wild guesses exists.

Some pesticides are eliminated during heating. Potatoes, Carrots etc. at least here in Norway, are pulled straight from the ground, washed, and then sold.

Fruit should be washed before eaten. That's common knowledge.

Of course. But I have been told washing fruits and vegetables is near to useless these days, that they're contaminated to the core. It obviously does not prevent me from eating (and washing) them, but I seriously have the feeling I don't know what really is on my plate anymore.

Ecological/organic brands should do the trick.

I get your point, but all in all I think eating fruit/vegetables is etter in every way than avoiding it. I have som graphs somewhere that should be interesting on this topic.

Don't have the graphs in English, but I'll list some of the evident and probable results here:

Cancer and Vegetables:

Mouth/Throat: Evident effect against cancer
Larynx: Probable effect against cancer
Esophagus: Evident effect against cancer
Lungs: Evident effect against cancer
Stomach: Evident effect against cancer
Pancreas: Probable effect against cancer
Liver: Possible effect against cancer (more research needed)
Colon: Evident effect
Breast: Probable effect
Ovary/Womb lining/Cervix/Prostate/Thyroidea/Kidney: Possible effect (more research needed)
Bladder: Probable effect against cancer

Cancer and Fruits

Mouth/Throat: Evident effect
Larynx: Probable effect
Esophagus: Evident effect
Lungs: Evident Effect
Stomach: Evident effect
Breast: Probable effec
Ovary/Womb lining/Cervix: Possible effect (more research needed)
Thyroidea: Possible effect (more research needed)
Bladder: Evident effect

In addition to this you have vitamin A which seems protective against some forms of leukemia.

I eat pretty well, and read a lot on nutrition. A good one I recently read was called The Ultramind Solution. All such tomes are to be taken with a grain of salt (although not too much, it causes high blood pressure!) but a lot of good information in there nonetheless.

As for cancer, I believe it will be cured one day as it seems to me a relatively low dimensional problem.

Viruses and bacteria related illnesses will never be 'cured' imo, because they are constantly evolving.
