A couple years ago my mom and I were talking about going to India fairly seriously and that woulda been really cool. I think she bought our piano instead which is even cooler but we coulda probably done both.

Not become an alcoholic when I was 17...that's nearly 8 extra years I'd have to do something worthwhile.

Though as everything worked out well in the end, I should be content in writing those 8 years off.

Spend more time with my dad. Fix my old relationship.

I'm really not into correcting prior mistakes because I generally like my current situation. Having less regrets about not having lived it up with my dad prior to his death when I was 8 is really the only regret. I'm not happy that I think I through the best thing that ever happened to me to the wayside and I learned from that experience but I don't have hope for matching that feeling I had with her. Maybe that lack of hope is the problem.

I would not have changed my program of study like 3 times. Thinking about doing it again............

No regrets. But if I could go back in time I could have done a bit better with my relationships.

Go back a year, make some money betting on all the AFL games through the year, then place a massive bet on the AFL grand final for a draw.

Wouldn't want to go back too far, depending on the rules. Is it one way? If it is, and you go back 5 years.....by the time you get back to 'now' you would be 5 years older.

Also do I have to avoid/murder the version of myself in the past?

I wouldn't do it at all with what I know now. I can do everything musically better now than ever and physically things get easier. I can't imagine going back to being 18 and having none of the muscle memory or finely tuned auditory sense.

But if I could make one thing never happen it would be going out after thanksgiving to shoot guns with my uncle. I'm fairly certain my left ear is slightly weaker than my right because he shot off some huge pistol with no warning.

It only takes once at that high SPL to fuck you over forever. I wish I would have been standing directly behind him at least. I never cared about my hearing getting worse over the years, but becoming off balance is horrible. It's really taken the last 7 years for my hearing to balance out for the most part and what hasn't, for it not to be a distraction.

The biggest problem is that since sound goes through bone at lows and at 4Khz, you can't fix the perception of balance.

If I could go back in time, I would kill my ex-wife. Lost many years of my life with her. Also I would've accepted the offer the local mafia made me when I was 17. I would be rich now, or dead.

So were Einstein and Newton. They just ended up achieving more in their fields than three people could in a lifetime. My IQ is only about 140 and Einstein's was supposedly 160, so I'm hardly as intelligent as those two. I'm working with music and they are worked on Physics. No one gives a shit about music though so whatever I do will be regarded as irrelevant to mankind.
