If I was making my choice based on it being the soundtrack to the apocalypse, it would probably be some Brutal Death Metal, something bleak sounding too. Maybe Immolation - Majesty and Decay or something along those lines.

If I was making my choice based on what would be the last sounds I would want my ears to hear, well that's easy. Pink Floyd. Either Animals or Wish You Were Here.

Make your choices people. Do both scenarios.

Some Reverend Bizarre or Electric Wizard and Tankard - Chemical invasion or Vendetta - Brain Damage.

Call me in the morning.

as a soundtrack to the apocalypse Mournful Congregation - The Monad Of Creation, suitably bleak for the end of days

last thing I'd want to hear

Persuader - Evolution Purgatory, I wanna go out hearing the chorus to Stike Down "No one there to welcome, A bright light on deserted plains, Your God is absent, and Heaven abandoned"

Recent Rotting Christ and Darkspace are coming to mind for militaristic epicness and ice-cold spacey fury...

Last sound I want to hear - perhaps some Gathering? Or maybe a Jazz... Have to consider that one.

End of the world fitting music will be, for me, Scott Walker's latest, Bish Bosch. Eventually, I'll play some John Zorn after (Templars for example).
