Damn, was reading the mess you started with your Evanesence rant........ha. You know man, you are like the opposite of an Elitist where you go out of your way to like all the mainstream stuff you know people on message boards will hate and bitch about, then you bitch at us because we arn't open mindes or whatever and start Metal head race riots. Dude, new flash for you.....I like most Metal Heads like being close minded and snobbish about the crap I listen too. I am not giving new bands in genred I never heard of a chance, I am never lisitining to any band remotely connected to Metal Core and if your claim to fame is sounding like Christina Scabbia with some moron rapping during your chorus or having a song on a Spider Man soundtrack I will hate your band. Sorry, I like 3 kinds of metal, Trad, Goth (and you comparing the Gathering and Flowing Tears, even Elis to Evanesense is insane, especially since they play like lounge core now, yeahs songs like Strange Machines and Nighttime birds have so much in common with Amy Lee and her band...) and Black Metal with occasionally jaunts into Melodic Death (but no band can play it anymore and most of them turned into some new metal core bands (Yeah Soilwork and In Flames I am talking to you) and Death Metal from Poland and weird avantgarde stuff. I am never going to be an open minded Metal Head and I am going to enjoy it. I don't know what his new internet trend is that everyone who sticks to their guns about what they like and don't like is a close minded idiot but I miss the days of old..... Oh yeah, good review for Nightingale, I dig them too and don't like Motorhead. |

Leee, thank you so much for this thread. You know, after everything finally calmed down, I'm glad someone had the balls to post a thread about a week and a half later about things that absoloutely needed to be said. I especially like your use of the English language in your post. Anyway, good job, man, and keep on making intelligent, well thought out and necessary posts like this in the future. You're my hero. |

To steal a bit from Zad's favorite movie: leee, at no point in that rambling post did you come anywhere close to a coherent thought. The whole forum is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul. |

Man, what the hell was that!? Ok, I'll offer some help. Conjunctions are words that join or connect words, phrases and clauses in a meaningfu way. They are a form of cohesive tie. There are two main kinds of conjunctions; a) Conjunctions that join similar parts of speech or clauses of equal value (and, both, but, yet, or, either-or, neither-nor). b) Conjunctions that join principal clauses to subordinate clauses. Therefore, with the application of conjunctions the phrase Quote: I don't know what his new internet trend is that everyone who sticks to their guns about what they like and don't like is a close minded idiot but I miss the days of old.....
becomes I don't know what [t]his new internet trend is, where everyone who sticks to their guns about what they like and don't like is a close minded idiot, but I miss the days of old... In this case the commas act as the conjunctions, forming a cohesive tie between the principle clause of "I don't know what this new internet trend is...but I miss the days of old" with the subordinate clause of "where everyone who sticks to their guns about what they like and don't like is a close minded idiot". |
