Anybody seen the previews yet? I saw the trailer the other day and it looks like it might be good. I've never played the games but i'm very interested in this movie.

Does Boll or Anderson have anything to do with this?

Well the trailer looked to be pretty loyal to the game but that doesn't tell anything about the movies quality of course. I'm hoping it would be good but my guts tell me it's bound to fail.

I don't think it will be very good. That being said, it certainly doesn't look "Doom" bad.

I thought it looked pretty good, as in, a good video game movie. Pyramid Head is in it, so how could they fuck that up!?

Nemesis was in the last Resident Evil and they somehow (smirk) made a bollocks of that.

You're right.. but, Pyramid Head > Nemesis.

I still think it looks pretty good, the atmosphere looks to be captured pretty well, those crazy ass nurses look just as creepy as they were in the games not to mention those monsters that look no more than just bags of flesh. As well, they have that siren going off and suddenly everything is all fucked up. I think they have the atmosphere about as close as they could get it (Though I will actually have to see the movie first to know that). I just hope the story remains faithful to the first and third game.

Look, it's a film made from a game. If it's good, I'll eat my own liver.

To be honest, I've never played any Silent Hill games (the newest game I own is from around 2001 and my newset consosle is a PS1) so I can't really comment. Still, that probably means less comparison between the games and the film if I decide to watch it.

The best silent hill was the 1st one. Released for ps1... Itwas a fucking masterpiece.

:shock: For shame, you have a PS1? Then you can still play Silent Hill 1 at least, which seems to have the most in common with what it shows in the preview. Biggest differences being the main character that loses his daughter was a guy, not a girl and her name was Cheryl, not Sharon.

Anyone heard of Night Watch? might be worth a watch...

I saw the trailer for that yesterday, seemed pretty cool.

2006 seems like it will have some better films than 2005.. At least for me, 2005 sucked balls.

Load of pish (it came out in the UK months ago).
