I'm interested in hosting another forum wide game. Possibly resulting in a prize at the conclusion for the winner. I'll get to that in a bit. First the ideas. The first of the two tournament ideas I'd like to run would be a guess the outcome fantasy tournament, with randomized results where correct predicting ability seperates the winners from the losers... The other idea is for another poetry tournament, only with more people this time (w/ seating for past contenders who did well). So, pick one of these, or neither if you have no interest.

Okay, I mentioned a prize. The prize... If there will be a prize... It'll prolly be a CD. Pretty basic. Well, it'll be a Free One on me, within reason, $30.00 or less (THAT'S US CURRENCY DAMMIT) and I'll get in touch with the winner if this ever becomes a reality. For now, lets pick a format, if any.

March would be a nice month to start this all...

Hmm. A poetry contest with a set theme sound fun. Or a photography contest where you have to take the funniest pic possible. Or a photoshop contest. Or a Fists of Fury masturbation contest. Or a giant poop contest. Or...now I'm just being silly.

But a poetry one would be funny.

Well, I think you roamed the boards around the time of the last poetry contest, but didn't participate. Essentially, the idea is that your poem is supposed to represent a genre (Or many genres) as lyrics to an imaginary song.

Pete did a hilarious Satanic Death Metal song.
Misha did disheartening black metal lyrics.
Valefor did something along the lines of Black Thrash, or so I'd imagine from the tone of his content.
Aaron did some really original stuff that I'd imagine in a technical prog act, possibly thrash.

But, seriously, themes are what you make of them. I'd really like to see some over the top, ultra generic power lyrics, or goregrind funny lyrics, etc. If that's the avenue we travel, I want alot more people along for the ride this time around. At least 16. 20+ would be awsome.

Of course, if Misha, Aaron, Carnifex, and TIE (beat out Slayer of Kings {I think} in a reserve match, making him a good replacement for semi-finalist Valefor) would get special seating arrangement for their efforts last time, were they all to enter again. But, that's only if we take do the poetry/lyric thing.

Funny pics... hmmm... Funny or serious album covers to go along with the lyrics could work. What about that?

How bout we write lyrics but also sing them and make music for them using fruity loops or some other easy program ? Could be fun and maybe we'll hear one or two music geniuses that are already among us.

One could take an allready done song, and redo the lyrics for it, and record it

How about just good pictures? From people/landscapes/bands/urban shiz. That could be cool, to photosoupe it as well!!

I vote not photography, because I don't own a digital camera. I like the idea of another poetry/lyrics competition, but that's what I'm good at, so I'm biased.

What about a sort of free for all talent quest where you submit whatever you feel is best.

I like the poetry one. I lost by one vote last time (*shakes fist at the person that won*) and with more people on this time, I might even win.

Ditto w/ Kayla on the photography one, although it's not a bad idea.

I vote for serious pictures of (almost) anything.

Sorry, lyrics anyone can write... all this other stuff requires equipment and programs that some of us simply can't use (whether our comp is shit or it's something we don't own.). Like I said, if we did the lyrics thing again, I would LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE to see pics representing album covers. Holy shit, that'd totally make the effort 3-D. But, to make it do-able for all, we gotta keep this shit within the limits of a battle of wits and creativity.

Though, an album cover contest all on it's own would be FUCKING AWESOME. I never even considered that concept all on its own. Still, some of us would be stuck in MS paint land.

Common, everyone has or is able to buy a fucking camera! Even if it's not a digital one there is still the godly gift of scanner. We already did the lyrics thing, I like the idea of photosouping pics or something for an album cover as well! Maybe it's a cool idea to do a contest for "design the cover art for an album of your choice". It's a lot more fun that reading lyrics says I 8)

Ahhh i hate writing so that just skips for me.
But i love to take photographs, weird ones.

We have about five digicameras at home, but I haven't got one here, and much as I love you guys, I'm not paying for one just for a contest. I'd rather give a plain black entry in and say "trve and kvlt blakk metal, bitch!".

Why not do both?
