...for a webcomic focused on metal. I've got several scripts and character bios down as of yet, but I'm a shit artist... so anyone interested?

Update schedule would likely be twice a week... photoshop skills and ability to color the strip needed.

If anyone requests, I can post some sample scripts here.

If no one else (read: the better artists here) are interested, I'm a fairly decent artist, and I've got passable Photoshop skills.

On that topic, did anyone see Carbonado when it was still online? That was great.

Aaron, post some samples-I can't do the art, but I'd like to see your stuff. No offence intended here, but Chris' manga 'aint the best thing in the world, the artwork is great, but the story, characters etc. are fucking lackluster.

Very well.

Quote:
PANEL 1
[The scene: A dance hall in Poland, 1920. Peasants are fast-dancing to polka music in informal dress. One of them has an unusually pale face and is wearing a long black cape.]
PANEL 2
[Hours later: All the guests minus the pale one are laying facedown in pools of blood. The polka band play on obliviously, and the pale guest is dancing by himself.]
PANEL 3
[A close-up on one guest's neck... there are two puncture wounds in it, side by side.]
PANEL 4
[Back at the apartment, Derek is looking at the back of a copy of Synchestra.]
D: Hee hee... Vampolka.

My usual style is much more offensive. Which leads me to remind whomever wants to do this that I'm likely to offend several of your favorite bands in the making of this.

Judging from what I've seen of yours and Kayla's minds, this should be pretty good. Go for it!

Cool, offend away. Why not post something particularly offensive, show me what you're made of.

Here's one for you....

Panel 1
Top: Had the police arrived 20 minutes earlier...
[The scene: A room of unknown size, and bland decor that is revealed only beneath what is presumably the center of the place by a single hanging light fixture directly overhead. There are only two men, both sharing the likeness of long hair and b&w facial paint. Their similarities end there. One is brutally battered and bound to a chair beneath the light, his face paint merely traces now, tattered by his ordeal. The other, still looking fresh and evilly bemused, pulls on a latex glove with a stretch. He has a notable facial scar visible despite the facial paint.]
Standing Man: And now, Euronymous, with this final blow I shall finally kill you like the dog you are.
Euronymous: ...Please, Varg...

Panel 2
[The glove snaps tight, and Varg is laughing with sickened intent on the mind.]
Varg: Muwahahaha!
Euronymous: Really man, I sorry for leaving the seat down! Honest!

Panel 3
[Varg has returned his complete attention to Euronymous again. He looms over his victim as a mummy might during the stalk. Suddenly, the pitch blackness of the mostly dark room's unseen perimeters is shattered by daylight in the form of a hard kick busting the door (which is conviniently in the background} wde open. Guns at the ready, officers pile in. Varg screams and shakes a fist at the forces above. Euronymous looks relieved.]
Cop 1: FREEZE!!!
Varg: My plan, to kill Euronymous in self defense, RUINED!!!!!

Panel 4:
Bottom: Varg wouldn't have changed his story a bit.
[Literal seconds later, an officer attends to Euronymous while two other officers drag a kicking and screaming Varg from the room.]
Varg: IT WAS SELF DEFENSE!!! SELF DEFENSE, I SAY!!!

Here's another...

Panel 1
[Scooby and the gang finally have captured the culprit, and the local authorities have arrived on the scene for the ceremonious unmasking of the ghost at the end of the show. Thelma moves towards the insanely familiar character with the scar on his chin, and puts her hands to his face.]
Themla: Now we'll see who Varg Vikernes really is...

Panel 2
[Themla tugs in vain against the mask, which simply won't give.]
Thelma: It won't come off...
Shaggy: Zoiks, like maybe it isn't really a mask, Themla.
Scooby: REAH, RUST RUGLY! E-HEE-HEE-HEE-HEE-HEE!

Panel 3
[Thelma finally jerks the mask off of the face of the now off panel Vikernes' ghost. Satisfied, she begins to announce the culprits real identity, but a sudden shocking realiztation, punctuated with a gasp, stops her mid sentence.]
Thelma: No, the mask was just really tight... The real culprit is-*Gasp*

Panel 4
[A sheepish looking Adolf Hilter grins with a blush. Everyone blurts their amazement.]
Everyone: ADOLF HILTER?!?!

Sure. This is probably one of my most offensive comics. And if you haven't guessed, the two main characters are Bates and Derek.

Quote:
[The Scene: A dark room with a single lightbulb hanging down from the ceiling. A stereo can be seen over in one corner, sticking out of the black, with a pile of Opeth CD's stacked on it. Opeth's frontman, Mikeal Akerfeldt, is tied up and gagged on a chair, and is sitting in the center of the pool of light the lightbulb casts.]

[Bates steps out of the darkness, partly. He is smiling.]

B: Hello, Mr. Akerfeldt. Had a pleasant evening?
M: Mrmfmmf!
B: Ah yes, I should remove that, it'll make tonight so much more... enjoyable.

[he takes off the gag.]

M: [groggily] I don't know what you want... but I don't have that much money, and I have kids, please... don't...
B: Shhhhhhh, Mikael. Stay calm. Do you know why you're here?
M: No...

[Bates motions toward the pile of albums.]

B: We're going to give your discography a listen, starting with Ghost Reveries... and every time I hear an acoustic break, I'm going to cut off one of your fingers. When we're done with fingers, I'll move on to toes... and after that... well, we'll cross that bridge when we get there, eh? Now then...

M: But... why? Why are you doing this?

B: [thinking] I should say... whimsy.

[He flashes Mikael a grin and puts on Ghost Reveries, and stands there listening, idly toying with a sharp six-inch folding knife. Mikael appears to be weeping softly.]

[2.56 into Ghost of Perdition, he cuts off Mikael's right index finger, which is tied behind him. Mikael screams and twists around. Blood spurts from the wound.]

B: Oh, calm yourself Mr. Akerfeldt, we've got such a journey ahead of us...

I haven't translated this one into the regular format, but this is the backbone.
