I am seriously thinking of trying it out. Never played an MMORPG before.

my selection of fine RPG(not all MMO's):

Morrowind+expansions, actually the entire Elder Scrolls series(SP)
WoW
Guild Wars
Fable(SP)
Rose Online
Divine Divinity(SP)
Beyond Divinity(SP)

Why? What's the problem with it?

well basically not much but all the other ones i mentioned( even the single player ones) are 50 times better. What bugs me(only played the beta) is that my favorite class(archer type) is so weak, even more then usual. When you fire, you reload in a 'realistic' (read über-slow) way. Plus, D&D on pc = gay

The guy I work with who had a level 60 and multiple other characters on World Of Warcraft just switched to the D&D game, it suits him better because he's into that D&D shit.

I don't know much about it, but he did say there is no world travel. Like, you don't leave a town and wander the countryside. You leave a town, a map pops up, and you select where you want to go next and then you're there. It may not be exactly like that, but that's how the console RPGs were. I hate that shit. So lame.

Well, it's too late.. I just bought it :). I think I will like it, though.. from what I have read it's a lot like D&D - not open-ended and entirely group based. We'll see.

If you fit the general profile of their target market, i.e. you're not l33t, levelling is not your Grand Purpose in life, you just want to have some fun.. then you'll probably like it.

Nonono you're all wrong. The best MMORPG out there is Puzzle Pirates! www.puzzlepirates.com I'm addicted. In fact, I think I'll go play right now.

Listen to the man. While you're at it, you might as well get Baldur's Gate II.

Go play Diablo II LoD 1.10, play the archer, and shoot about 100 arrows per second.

Here you can eventually gain the 'fast-reload' feat as well as purchase a repeating crossbow..

Yet still you can't shoot 40 arrows at a time can you?

I love Diablo II LoD, but I recently just found out that it is hard to get by in Hell Mode with an assassin whose skill tree I screwed up.

Nope. Diablo wins in 'arrows per second'.

I never play as archers in these types of games anyway. I doubt this will make or break my decision to get this game.
