Post subject:  All of the new Simpsons episodes suck
Why don't they just quit. It's tired, going nowhere and it simply isn't funny or clever anymore.

Its been shite for years now. It makes me very sad to say that. some of the newest episodes....its just unbelievable how far its fallen. The new one on Sunday (in the UK) involved Lisa trying to turn Groundskeeper Williw into a gentleman. Truely one of the worst ever.

My friends like them....IMO all they've done is recycled and recycled old catchphrases etc. I can't stand it...I could write one of the new episodes:

Bart: Don't have a cow man
Milhouse: Don't do it Bart, uuuuh. it's bad!
*Bart hits Nelson with stone from his slingshot*
Milhouse: Bart...I'm outta here! AAAAAAA! *runs*
Bart: Aaaaaah, man! Milhouse, get back here!
Nelson: I'm gonna beat you real good, Bart!
Bart: Aaaaaw, jeez...
Random militairy guy who happened to see Bart's punding: We could put that use to some strength!
*Bart and Nelson becomepart of a secret gang of teenagers who work for the government doing secret shit*
*Back at home*
*Bart is wearing sunglasses and looking very secret angent-ish*
Homer: Boy, get me a beer
Bart: I'm afraid that is I did that I'd have to kill you.
Homer: Boooooy! *strangles him*
Bart: Don't have a cow man! *has him arrested by C.I.A type men.

See, there's the layout for a friggin' episode! It takes NOTHING to write the bullshit they make now.

The thing is, The Simpsons is one of the very few shows that gets on the air without much interference from the network. That's wy they've always had sly (and some not so sly) jibes at Fox over the years - because they can get away with it. The fact is the staff writers they use now just aren't as good as the old ones, and the producers they've been using over the last few seasons are interested in much less subtle humour - so many episodes now just seem like a shitty rip off of Family Guy.

Yeah, I agree with those that say Family Guy is overrated. It didn't take them long to run out of ideas. The Simpsons have sucked for years.
