Does any have this? If it's not been released, does anyone know what it's going to be like? I'm not into the FF series but I think the Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within movie is pretty kick ass! I'm wondering if this is worth buying, if it's like anime I don't want it.

Not anime, CG. It's the continuation to the FF VII game. I have it on my PC but it's on Japanese, so I just watched the first action scene (which was awesome) and will wait for the American version.

FF VII is one of my all time top 5 favorite games. I'm dying to see it.

Will I need to know the game, do you know? I dig on the CG shit, The Spirits Within is pretty badass.

Well if you know the game (and like it) it gives much more to the experience since the characters and places feel so familiar. I'd say the action scenes alone are a reason enough to see the movie, everything is so exaggerated and the speed is sometimes just ridiculous, but not in a bad way. The Spirits Within was nothing compared to this.
Also keep in mind that I'm a huge FFVII fan myself so my opinions are a bit biased :)...

uuuh.... i never did that :P ... but i did get the Golden Chocobo and Knights of the Round, Clouds ultima limit break and upgraded double slash, into Quatre-slash or what ever it's called.

anywho.. i have had the japanese version of Advent Children for a few months now.. i have to be honest.. i think it's a bit "meh"... probably have to see the english version to enjoy it the most... but... i think the movie have too much (anime) action, too little story

Yeah, I did all this plus killed Emeralnd Weapon. The Ruby one was just impossible.

Nah.. You just have to be really cheap, go in with one character, and set up your materia so that everytime you're attacked you do Knights of the Round (twice, I think) which will also heal you.

And I'm not too sure about this. FFVII had a great, ambiguous ending that didn't need to be continued. And from hearing one of the plot twists I'm even more worried, because that is one stupid plot twist.

To beat Ruby, you need final attack materia paired with phoenix on everyone. so when you are killed you do a final attack and revive yourself! You get it in the arena in the golden suacer, after you get all the other prizes.

i had three levelled up kotr, three final attacks, three phoenixs, three mimes, three double casting materias, everyone on level 99, all the super duper weapons, and the master materia from beating emerald.

yep, im an ff nerd!

I can't wait. I'll most likely pick it up tomorrow after I get paid. This will set the standard for CGI, it looks so real.

I also did everything there was to do in FF7, twice. Which means I spent 200+ hours playing that game! I've also beaten every single other one, so I've spent a good portion of my life on these games. I love them, well except for 9, that one was just goofy. I'll take no Disney crap in my Final Fantasy. *looks in Kingdom Hearts direction*

Has anyone played Crystal Chronicles for the Gamecube? I love that game, it's like Zelda with FF stuff in it.

I've never completed 9. For various reasons I've had to restart it a couple of times, and the last time I got to the part where you're walking around this endless palace trying to light up the bloodstones with your 4 less powerful characters (graagh, it frustrates me just thinking about it) and got so pissed off with it I didn't touch it for weeks, and then sort of forgot about it. And anyway, my playstation is now teh broke. :(

well... once you have played 8 and 9 a couple of times, they are actually quite good. Unfortunately the 9. installement have some retarded characters.

i didn't like ff10 all that much, probably because of the lack of a prober worldmap. When a game have worldmap ( in other worlds a 3d world) it makes me feel like i'm a part of it. FF10 just had a map with some dots on it.

Can't wait for FF12, it looks fucking awsome.. also, the new fight systems looks rather cool. No more random battles either. And just like ff9 it mixes medieval with advanced technology, such as airships... but then again.. so did ff6 and the games before them...

I actually liked FFIX the most of the three PS1 FF games. Id give it an 8/10.. FFVII for some reason never caught on with me like it did with millions of others 6/10.. And FFVIII can be summed up as: Worst. RPG. Ever 3/10..

Right now Im making my way through FFIV and loving it.

And I to will probably buy that Advent Children DVD, even though I didnt think the game was anything special, I love CGI action movies and anime, so I think as a movie, it will be right up my alley.

Final Fanatsy 8 is my favorite of the three. Squall is teh shizznicky. I liked the draw system, it gave your healer something to do.

Couldn't stand the draw system, made battles last way to long, hell they lasted way to long to begin with. As well, the junction system, while a good idea on paper, just drove me bonkers. I didnt like any of the characters and the random rule in the card game pissed me off to no end when I lost like 4 of my rare cards and couldnt get em back, bah I say, bah!

EDIT: Actually, I disliked it so much, it became my first and only game in the history of my collection that I actually got rid of. I gave it to a friend because he mentioned he liked what he played of it.

i had the same opinion the first two times i played the game... the third and fourth time i simply loved the game. But it takes time to get a hang on the junction system. But in the end you can build extremely powerful character with 100 % protection in almost everything. Furthermore, having Squall's hp maxed out and his hp low in battle and triple junctioned to speed, you can attack with limitbreak 3 times before the enemy even moves.
The easiest way is to focus on 3 characters, swich the junction back and forth between players, no need to start all over.. and in the final battle just make the weak players get killed, untill you have ensambled all 3 characters ( Squall, Renoa ( they both have the most powerful limitbreaks + bla)

anywho... there are ways to manipulate the rules of card games... whenever a person tell you that he wants to play with his rules refuse... just refuse untill he accept playing without any change... The card rule " All" is always good... much faster...
the card serves a great purpose... near the end of the game all the cards can be exchanged for items. One of the character cards gives 100 hero's, which can be exchange into 10 holy wars ( immortality for all characters for a few minutes)

bla bla
