Post subject:  Hallucinogens
Has anyone else here done hallucinogens(LSD, Mushrooms, PCP, etc.)? If so, post your feedback on the experience(s) here.
My input: I have done acid and admit that it certainly helped expand my music and poetry. Although I have to say, along anyone else who has, that acid is a bit "overhyped", yet it still has helped do a shitload, artistically, for me.

Mushrooms, once. Slight loosening up, found unfunny things funny for a while, saw odd shapes in a melting candle. Not massively interesting.

i smoked some weed laced with pcp. it was an adventure, probly because we didnt know it was there.

one guy i was with thought i was a lizard, and tried catchign flies for me, i saw everything, and a thrid comrad of us went swimming, thought a whale was chaseing him and he almost drowned.

Near death experiences are kinda a buzzkill and i never did it again.

I tried mushrooms once in Lao... the effect was somehow disappointing... a little twist in percetion (kinda like things having a different volume and moving randomly) was the only notable effect...
I may try some other time but, until I do, I'll stick with good ole weed as I do not do man-made drugs. :roll:

I've done mushrooms once. It was a good high, but I was around a lot of people when I did them. I hate being around a lot of people when I'm high, I can't socialize for the life of me. I won't do them again. I actually can't think of the next time I'll smoke pot. Looks like it's nothing but beer.

I've done hallucinogens from time to time (decreasing in frequence). Often I have experienced that I could see the sound waves as vibrations in the air when people spoke. Sometimes I have also had non-visual hallucinations like feeling like I had a tail, flying experiences and stuff like that.. Usually I just smoke a little weed which doesn't provoke as intense reactions..

Not yet, and I think I'll wait until I get some from someone I trust not to give me them laced with arsenic or whatever. I am curious about it, but not enough to get put away over it.

Well, Psychedelic drugs are ones to be taken seriously as they could change one, completely. I have a friend who does Acid and is still the same person but with a much more open perspective, so I guess it depends one the person and their tolerance for it. He once did Acid just to listen to Ulver. As for me, Grass, Hash and some oil are the things I've done ( and who hasn't!). I will be trying the Psychedelic part in the new future to come. I was listening to Agalloch last night after smoking a good Joint and it was a very pleasant and hypnotic feeling. Close your eyes and you will be having a journey through depression, beauty and forests unknown.

I don't think I'll be doing any drugs for the rest of my life. I just have a way of keeping doing things until I hit bottom, it's just not worth it.

And hallucinogens are overrated.

Dogan hit the nail on the head with that last line. I've done mushrooms thrice and found them stupid, bad, and somewhat boring. I saw a former friend ruin his life because of acid. Just a beer or two every now and then is all I do anymore.
