Don't believe everything PETA tells you. They're a bunch of uninformed idiots. In a statement concerning KFC, the PETA representative was quoted as saying that chickens are smarter than cats and dogs. As anyone who has ever spent any time on a farm can tell you, chickens are one of the most monumentally stupid creatures on the face of the earth. PETA uses shock tactics and propaganda; you can't trust anything that comes from them.

On the subject of fur and further animal rights activism stupidity: I don't remember if they were affiliated with PETA, but a few years ago some activists broke into a mink farm and set all the animals free. Heroic, right? Right. The (1000+) minks proceeded to decimate the local ecosystem, and once there was no more food left, ate each other.

Indeed, few things are more sickening than some sick fuck who would needlessly torture a helpless animal, but PETA are definitely not the ones to go to for most people that would consider themselves "animal lovers".

If you don't care about their tactics, which are abhorable, then at least pay mind to the fact that your supporting an organization that wants to take your pets away from you because you don't have the right to keep them. Just like you can be religious without supporting Jerry Falwell, you can love animals without supporting PETA.

Animal abuse drives me batshit INSANE. If I were to ever witness someone abusing an animal in public (besides children, which I would report to the police), I'd pummel them until my fists went numb. Then I'd break a few ribs with kicks.

If you saw someone beating a child at the same time someone was beating a dog and you had a gun with one bullet, who would you shoot?

See...the crazy thing is that I would probably shoot the guy beating the dog. Am I the only one that can't seem to reach the same level of compassion when it comes to humans that I can when it comes to animals? I'm no cold-hearted fuck, or anything. It's not like I'd sit by while someond beat a child, no way, but there's a different reaction and feelings with me when it's man against a helpless animal.

I think it is easier to save an animal because they are not evil like humans are. I do not pretend humanity isnt evil, because we fucking are! Do dogs destroy the ozone layer, cause global warming, destroy the worlds forests to make themselves mansions? Fuck no. That kid could grow up to be the head of a global corporation which he sinks to the ground, leaving his workers unemployed, but stealing all the profit for himself and having his second in charge blamed for the whole thing.

Or he could be a rapist or murderer. Animals make peace with their surrounds and dont kill their own(mostly), whereas we destroy everything and everyone to get what we want.

So yeah im all for not hurting animals or children, but human beings are FUCKING EVIL! So the dog would get the most sympathy from me.

as for kids... am i the only one here that thinks that sometimes a kid deserves a slap or two to the face? i admit it, i got it when i fucked up. sometimes a kid just asks for it. i'm not talking about belts and punches, i'm saying that if a kid gets a slap to the face or whatever, it's not like it'll kill him.

anyway, i probably wouldn't react if a mother slapped her kid in the face for doing something terrible wrong.. however, there's a difference between slapping and punching with fists.

what other parents do is not my problem (except for child abuse, violence etc), i will not slap my children, cuz what they do wrong is in the end probably your own fault, and some of the things they do is because they're kids who are curious, clumsy or want attention. I got slapped in the face to a point where my ears were ringing and spanked in the ass when i did something wrong, didn't do me any good, i only started to hate my parents - it's a bad thing to do if you want to make a strong trustworthy connection/friendship with your children. I'm fine with my parents now, but still...

It's all relative, based on the the parenting and the type of child being parented. If you get a kid who thinks he can do whatever he wants (Have sex, do drugs, and just blow off life... at 12), I think it's safe to say that punishing him with a slap or two to the face would let him know he's being a little bitch. On the other hand, you can't unleash the fury on a kid because he got a C in math class, that's just crazy. Yet, I think uninhibited screaming and a display of anger and dissapointment is a better tactic then physical discipline. I always found that it hurt me more when my mom screamed at me while crying for being a little dick then a slap ever did.

I used to be an asshole to everybody including my mom and dad, I think if I were in their position I would slap me silly, but they never did.

Yeah I agree, some kids could use a slap or two. I know a lot of little ones that are out of control because their parents won't discipline them in any way. Not every kid needs it of course, mistakes are mistakes and not everyone is deserving of some severe punishment. But some kids, some of them could use it.

I think you should always avoid hitting kids, but I can also appreciate how hard it is and think people should be excused for losing their temper, or getting desperate. Within reason, of course.

I'm glad I don't have kids, because my only approach to problem solving has involved smashing holes in stuff. A terrible temper, have I.

btw.. just to make myself perfectly clear.. i don't support PETA, and never did. Got the link from a guy i know

Kids should be fucked up! That's all I gotta say. Do you see how many kids these days will get in their mother's face and threaten her? Fuck that! If I did that my mother would bust out a plastic coat hanger or something and kick my ass!! That shit HURT!

Kids today suck because parents aren't able to parent their children. You don't have to beat them all the time, just do it once and if your kid has half a brain they'll not fuck up again! It's like a dog, do you have to hit your dog all the time? Nope. Do it once as a puppy and verbally scold them. After you should only have to verbally scold them to get them to listen because they remember what came with that scolding at one time and they learn, they know better. But if you don't discipline your dog what will happen? It'll piss and shit everywhere, tear up your carpets, scratch at closed doors, eat your couch, your shoes, etc. A child will do the same, even a teenager. Fuck that. Smack the fuckers!!
