There seem to be a few of us here who like to talk politics (rio, zad, FS) so i'll get the ball rolling....

Cloning. Good or bad??? Is it a technology that could bring round a meidcal reveloution or its it playing god????

Good. It's only religious people that should be concerned about "playing god" and I am not one of those. What god do we have other than the advancement of mankind?

hey, who do you think are likely candidates for the states in 2008? I'm hoping Hillary Clinton or George Clooney for the democrats.

cloning is bad.. no need to change the way nature works


besides, if you can't get killed one way or another, life get's boring and meaningless... deceases and death makes life seem more precious

I think cloning is good in some way but not in others.

With cloning, anyone who needs a life saving transplant will have a perfect doner, themselves. sci-fi writers have envisioned that every baby will have its own clone, stored, waiting to be used for transplants and such. I can see the benifits of a technology like this. But the moral side also sways me, you would be creating life for the puropse of spare parts, the cloned human is still a human, yet what choice would they have in the matter???

yes is would :evil: besides, even primive civilizations without ipod and guitars have toys and instruments that seems just as fun. And if you didn't have a pc you could actually live a real life, and focus on real the world, instead of wasting your time in cyberspace :wink:
