I've been holding off starting this topic for a while, but I think it deserves it, upon reading this and looking at these.

I'll kick things off: Israel is going way over the top, and needs to be reigned in. There is no way Hezbulla can be defeated, and they're playing into their hands by annihilating Lebanon. There are enough Conservatives here; do they come down on Israel's side? As someone from a Jewish family, I was at first on the Israelis' side, but I can't believe that the world is standing by and letting them fuck relations permanently like this.

Unless it stops soon, I can see Syria and Iran getting pulled in, which will bring the US in...World War 3?

The first option is closest to what I think, though I agree that things are getting way out of hand.

Guess what I voted for. Though I'm fed up with the Arabs, I wouldn't wanna see a huge war that my country will surely be drawn into, and will get fucked over, since we're sort of allies/fuckbuddies with US and thus Israel, on the other hand we're muslim. Wherever we stand we'll get fucked. So I think I'd be more that happy if Israrel would cut the crap and stop before things get too serious.

How one can be opposed to what we are doing in Irag but back Isreal unleash hell on Lebanon and destroy it is beyond me. If the US went to war over every one of it citizens that were ever kidnapped or whatever we could constantly be at it. Fucking Isreal makes me feel sorry for terrorists even and I can see how the rest of the Muslim world must feel if they can envoke that in me. They are like some bully that does what ever they want and basically throws the entire Middle East into chaos at their own whims. Yeah yeah, they have to protect there citizens and stuff but their are better ways then starting WWIII over it. 2 lives or the world? What is it worth?

Well when Israel does give land to them, Hezbollah just uses it to build stations to shoot more missiles into Israel... so I can understand why they're pissed off. Also Iraq didn't do anything meritting an attack to the US...

I've had this conversation way too many times to have the energy to do it again now. Suffice to say that while I think the current situation has gotten way out of hand, and Israel has made some bad choices of late, the majority of the blame lies with the Arab terrorists. Palestine my ass.

Lets face, bottom line, Isreal gets away with what ever they do because they are still getting the sympathy vote from what happenend in WW2.

It is Isreal own fault things are as bad as they are after botched occupations and wars in that area for decades. The also use the US for their own gains and I never get why this country doesn't see that.....

If this escalates into ww3 it would be very nasty. The US couldn't possibly win because if Syria and Iran get drawn in, China will want to protect its oil interests. And if China gets in on it so will Russia and North Korea, since all three are very close at the moment. The UN will probably do nothing until one of their members either is attacked or joins the fight, and who knows what side they'll be on. Israel has done this stupid shit in the past and gotten away with it, creating massive long-term problems. Personally I'd love to see billions of Chinese troops swarm in and kick the fucking shit out of this stupid psuedo-country and stop this crap once and for all.

Fuck both. Israel can have the right ot defend, but not that way. It's the overdimensionated response what fucks the middle east. And Israel has acted this way a lot of years.

One important think. I'm not a racist or anti-jew. I got some israeli friends, I could have worked from a israeli company. I'm against Israel polithics, and against ultraorthodox colonist jews. (I'm against ultrareligious muslim terrorists too).

Anywho, i think Israel is right to defend itself against Hezbollah in the first place, unfortunatly they act like crazy and overdo it, bombing civilians as if all ppl in Libanon is responsible for Hezbollah's act - including bombing of a power plant in christian area - and bombing of minibusses with civialian ppl incl. children etc etc - wtf was that for?!? .. so they're not better than Hezbollah in the end, imo... in fact i think they're worse for the time being, but that's only because they have better equipment/F16 etc.. if Hezbollah had same equipment they would probably do far more damage

And from a historical point of view one might also say that Hezbollah is right to do what they do - even they bring more harm to the ppl of Libanon now than they did back then.

..so... i'm not going to join sides with either of 'em.
