This is the last dorm room I'll ever be in, and right now it has a big blank space on one of the walls. It needs a poster or two. I feel perfectly justified in buying anything from a regular full size poster to a giant cloth flag, but I need something metal. Right now the biggest metal poster I have is a Finntroll one that came in an issue of Metal Maniacs that I bought sort of for the sake of the poster. So, if any of you would give me links to sites that have a good selection of metal posters, I'd be much appreciative.

I have some posters I could probably part with. Let me check when I get home.

I also have trouble finding metal posters

Harder than it sounds... and my room is duller for it.

I've got big Number of the Beast and ...And Justice for All Flags, along with two big Maiden posters (The Wicker Man and the new album cover, which I got for free) along with a few stolen gig posters of Saxon, Marshall Law and Helloween. Plus all my gig tickets are on the wall. Oh, and a Kamelot poster that came free with the t-shirt I bought. Also an awesome cool picture of a match where Rangers beat Celtic 5-1 which I was given as birthday gift a few years ago.

Wow room stories are fun.

Looking around my room I have a massive Dali block mount above my desk, two shiny swords, an egyptian papyrus depicting Ra and Nefertiti, my diploma, a Kylie calendar (phwoar), a white board, and a really cool gothic dragon shelf thing. The rest is all taken up by my book shelf.

I have awesome Evil Dead and Psycho posters, and old ones of Metallica, GnR, the Offspring, John Coltrane and a Simpsons one etc... maybe some of them won't make it into the smaller room I'm moving into soon.

But apart from those, the more important things are two posters for my own band, one framed photo of them (lots of sentimental value haha), a framed painting my mother did when she was a teenager that I thought was awesome so I kept it.

I also ordered a Suspiria print on Canvas off ebay. It was 99p but I spent loads on postage and packing and it arrived and it's way smaller than advertised. Or rather it says printed area 8" by 11". That's correct but 2 inches of than is just this gay pink margin so the actual thing is about 4" by 6".

I've got Iron Maiden's The Trooper and Killers, one Black Sabbath, one GNR, one Ozzy (the one where he's hitchiking to hell), two Metallica, one Alice Cooper, one Therion, one Motörhead, one Napalm Death, one Dio and one Beatles.

My room rocks. It's got a signed SiKth poster, a metal: headbanger's journey poster, an eagles jersey, a fish tank built inside of a hollowed out computer, a bigass terrarium with a hairy tarantula in it, and of course a wall covered in medieval weaponry.

Which one? I've got massive amounts of Dali, between a Persistence of Memory poster and some postcards up on my door.

When my mom was in college and taking comparative anatomy, one of the sharks she dissected had babies inside of it. She's always regretted not keeping them.

My room as a whole is awesome. I've got Dali, Bosch, NASA pictures, all manner of art I've done, a Ringwraiths poster, and a scythe among other things. I just need something to fill the last hole.

My favorite poster/picture of all time is the cover of "Love will Tear us Apart" by Joy Division. It hangs proudly in every place I live. It is a very "metal" cover even though the band isn't. Bauhaus's "Bela Lugosis Dead" is another awesome decorative one. I am the worlds oldest person who decorates his shit with 80's Gothic bands. I have a cool Sisters of Mercy one too. People are always like "what is that shit". ha ha

I believe it's called "Music" or something like that. It has a whole bunch of freaky dudes on bikes with rocks on their heads riding around a piano full of water. Drugs involved? Naaahh!

Wait a minute... you work for your University radio station and you can't get any metal posters??!!! Go to your music director / metal director and ask him or her to call up some labels and ask for promotional posters- you will get STACKS of posters, if he or she asks nicely, most will even be signed. Or, if your station is set up similarly to the one I worked in, there should be a big closet full of CDs, posters, and promotional junk that no-one has bothered to go through yet. Ask to go through there and raid posters from it.

I am the metal director. Or, in our parlance, Loud Music Director. We get promotional stuff all the time, but I want big ones.
