Post subject: | Great bands n' shit fans. |
This thread is devoted to tales of concerts or meetings with some of your favourite bands, only to have the event ruined by fucktard fans. Obviously this is inspired by my Danzig tragedy over the weekend, of which I am fucking furious over. So what the fuck posesses people to buy a ticket for a show, only to go there and heckle the band or do their best to get thrown out or the fuck beaten out of them? We always hear about the stars abusing their fans, but what about when this happens the other way around. |

Well I dinno about abusing the band, but Thrash gigs are always full of cuntoids. The Anthrax gig in particular was plagued with the sort of morons that have to spend the entire gig constantly pushing the person standing in front of them. Two hours of sweaty pissed-up idiots leaning on my back and stepping on my ankles and trapping my beautiful hair between thier flabby naked chests and my back. Woohoo. Iron Maiden in '03 had the same problem only a lot worse. That thing where the crowd starts swaying from side to side and you get swept off your feet kept happening during the opening salvo of songs. Scary shit. |

Well I've been to a few concerts and they were pretty shit. The moshpits were insane. It's fine. But Kreator were the first foreign ectreme band I watched. I paid 70 bucks (in Malaysian currency) for it. To be frank, I didn't want to mosh at first. I mean.....how often do you get such bands over here? So fuck the pits, I just wanna listen, watch and headbang throughout the gig. But instead the pits grew really out of control and I was involved, or more like dragged into it. I feel bad cos I missed a few good songs they played as I was in the pit. I really wanted to see them play. Instead I got kicked in the face 5 times, my spectacles bent 90 degrees. And after the gig I heard people complaining they didnt get to see much of the band cos of moshing. Well serves them right. I'm gonna watchSlayer next month. Curse me if you want, call me a fool or an idiot, I don't care. I'm not gonna mosh. I paid a good 300 bucks (in Malaysian currency again) for the ticket. I'm not gonna waste it doing some cheap thrill. I'm sorry if I pissed off the trash fans out there. ![]() |

hardcore/metalcore band shows are a great example of fine bands with stupid fans. hm, when i watched Metallica in Rock in Rio 2004 (Lisbon), there were waaaaaaaaaaaay too many assholes there. i remember that there was this one jackass (a pretty big guy) just standing outside the pit and randomly punching people who came near him (and i mean "came near him", not "touched him"). asshole. also there lots of idiots doing that gay ass FAIRY HARDCORE KARATE BALLET (remember, it's Metallica). but on the other hand everyone, even the assholes, sang along to every word in the songs and all. |

I remember going to Sounds of the Underground and during Unearth's set I got kicked in the stomach. That hurt. But they aren't really a great band. |

Some tithead at Canibal Corpse started on me when he was really drunk and I knocked him da fuk out. He wasn't a man or anything so it's not much to erm...brag about. But yeah, I never really knocked him da fuk out, I pushed him over and he knocked himself da fuk out. Didn't ruin the gig tho. PS.Moshing rules you fags! |

I went to see Morbus Gravis last night (local death band- awesome:http://www.morbusgravis.net/index.html) anyway, there were like 10 metalheads, and the rest were emo cunts and punk assholes who just stood around in the back being assholes and acting depressed. Seriously, the guy asked for movement like 10 times, and no one did a shit. So finally i walked up out of the crowd and started headbanging. And I got loads of appreciative looks from the band. |

And then your parents appeared, your mother looked very sad and your dad dragged you out by the ear and you got grounded and told to spend more time on your academic studies. Ho yes, I was one of those fateful 10. |

This is the third thread in which I will mention that I saw the Msifits last night. I love the Misfits, but based on the support bands, the fans and the shitty cover band featuring Jerry, Dez and Marky Ramone we were subjected to at the end, I really wish Kayla had actually killed punk and ate it. |
