I'm a fence sitter, so I'll probably vote for a little of both.

that's unresponsible of you. Now go vote R so we can all sleep peacefully knowing that the government is killing off anyone who looks arabian so we won't have to worry about terrorists.

Actually, I would say it's IRresponsible to vote a straight ticket (like my parents unfortunately do). At least put some thought into it, straight ticket voters are lazy, plain and simple.

Also, ahem, I appreciate political banter, but your post is ridiculously racist, even if you are joking.

Third party, of course, although back in the real world I shall despair of that country forever if the Republicans do well again- so go Democrat.

Incidentally it's this kind of thing that reduces the credibility of left wingers worldwide, so shuttup.

would the third party form a coalition with the democrats to insure control of congress?

I don't vote, just bitch. Is the American way. I have only been in this country probably 20 percent in the last 6 years. We are all going to hell anyways more then likely.

Libertarian/Republican is what I would vote for the most part.

Every time there is an election somewhere I always quote my favorite greek stand-up comedian who appart from an amazing comedian and impressionist he was also a kind of modern day philosopher and good critic.

He said: "Don't vote for the politician who promises to do the most amount of good for the country but for the one who promises to do the least amount of harm."

I'd say that's a wise and sound advice.

Bush'll win, I can see it now. He'll have himself deified next.

Hey, Charles, see that pic of him in The Guardian with those shoes? Goddamn!

You needn't worry Zadness, his four-flushing, hilljack, monkey-eared, mildly retarded, big-oil loving ass will be out soon enough. He cannot "win" again, unless you're talking about his party maintaining the control they have during this round of elections. However, I think the people of the US are generally ready to give the Democrats a shot. I am, the Repubs have had plenty of chances over the past 6 or so years and fucked most of them up with flying colors. It's time to give someone else a chance. My card will most likely contain about 90% Democrat votes and 10% Republican. Of course, next election, it may be the exact opposite.

Well for all the hopeful/downtrodden Euro posters in this thread, I will be voting a straight Dem ticket in a couple hours. I'm not a big fan of the Dems, I'm just tired of living in Republican world; it has been going on for way too long.

edit-Radagast said it for me.
