Time for a non-music related Hit/Miss poll. Today's target: The Three Star Wars Prequels. I voted "Hit." I even enjoyed The Phantom Menace, despite the fact that it's probably the weakest of the six Star Wars films. |

Hit. Enjoyable movies, but nowhere near the first (last) three. |

Hit. Not great movies, but enjoyable and definitely worth a watch. |

Miss. I really didn't enjoy any of them as much as I should have, but yet I was still lined up for the premiere of every one. I kept hoping the next one would be amazing. |

But do any of you actually think any of them are bad movies? |

I do. The Phantom Menace stinks. The third was passable, the second eminently forgettable. (Miss from me, in case you couldn't tell.) |

I thought they were terrible. The only thing that made them mildly entertaining was that they had a huge budget so they could do lots of huge CGI battle scenes. |

I thought they were decent, at worst. |

Miss. Considering these are Star Wars movies, they should have been a lot better. The first one was decent, the second one was completely blah, the third one sucked. |

Agreed. I mean, I'm not the biggest Star Wars fan, but surely they could have done better than YouAnne McGregor riding a lizard, chasing a coughing robot? I mean, for fuck's sake... |

I'm not a star wars fan, but I have respect for the original 3 films. The three prequels were a gigantic miss for me, as I even hated the 3rd prequel. |

Miss, the third one would be the only one that I would consider enjoyable. It just didnt have the same feel as the other ones. |

Completely agreed. The third one has some very enjoyable stuff in it; however, it still isn't anywhere near as fantastic as the originals and is kind of laughable through parts. The other two are terrible; there's a couple good scenes in Phantom Menace (mainly those involving Liam Neeson) and Attack of the Clones (mainly those involving Christopher Lee) but ya, pretty bad movies. This pains me, as a Star Wars fanboy, but its a miss. |

My brain broke trying to decide this ![]() I like the fact that the prequels were made, and if star wars hadnt already existed i woulda like them (Like if the series was made 1 to 6) But the manner in which material was made into the stuff i see on screen is kinda.....crap. Hayden Christensen? WTF??? Seriously, Lucas should have gotten a better casting director. |

I do. I think the Phantom menace is a straight up bad movie. The others improved but they were still all CG effects and no substance. |

Ummm, 1st was ok, so hit, second was pretty shite, so miss, and the 3rd was ok too (cause they got rid of Jarjar) so hit. 2 outta 3 so i'll say hit. But nothing will ever come close to the original trilogy. |

Well considering all three are really just animated features rather than films, I'd say; Phantom Menace = ![]() ![]() ![]() Attack of the Clones = ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Revenge of the Sith = ![]() ![]() |

Hit. They are nowhere near the quality of the original trilogy, but nothing is. They're fun to watch, and the visuals are astounding. Take out Jar-Jar and Jake Lloyd and the movies really aren't as hokey as everyone says. But Hayden Christiansen is the most wooden actor ever. Of course, Darth Maul is the coolest thing ever made. |
