Post subject: | Why I failed as a teenage rockstar |
I failed because I didn't listen to WASP! I was thinking about this today. I was thinking what life would be like now if I had actually put some effort into my highschool metal ambitions instead of just fantasizing about it. The thing is that I wanted to sound like Eric Adams, and no mortal is ever allowed to sound like Eric Adams. Not even Eric Adams. I didn't know it at the time, but in retrospect I sounded like a poor-man's Blackie Lawless. Now if I had actually heard Blackie Lawless I could have strived to hone my mimicry and modelled myself on his voice. Then things could have really gotten serious. But alas, it was not to be, as I shelved my music plans and headed out into the purgatory that is known as the workforce - because I couldn't sound like Eric Adams. There really isn't much point to this story. Except that I pinched my sister's acoustic guitar today. ![]() |
