Well a Moderio sounds like a chick car, but Rioator sounds like a sex toy or a gigolo, so I guess we'll need to stick with it.

I tried to warn Mike against it, but he probably doesn't hate you two as much as I do.

Does this forum really need that many new moderators? I've a feeling it seems to be working quite well either way. I might not post much, but I've been lurking for quite some time to say the least, and I've never felt there's that much need for moderating. And I'm not sure that the moderators should be people that participate that much in actual posting.. :P

I think so. Most of the MR Staff doesn't come to the forum aside from checking responses to their reviews, so even though they can mod the forum, they rarely do. I know Adam spends a good amount of time here, but I generally spent the most time here because I worked like 50 to 60 hours a week and was basically online the whole time. Now that I'm no longer a mod I think a few more is a good idea.

But let's keep the moderating the same as before (i.e. virtually non-extistent). :dio:

Very true, when flame wars are as rare as they are here, they're funny and don't really need to be moderated.

I agree. I just don't feel that regular posters should be moderating, because of the chance that they might be biased and not that objective when it comes to posters they don't like much. But as long as the moderating stays the way it is at the moment, it'll probably be alright. Btw, I'm not saying I'm convinced the new mods will abuse their new and awesome powers, but whatever..

We don't need more mods...

Flame wars are the most interesting part of the forum... it'd be cooler if being a mod was some sort of badge that allowed to you to start flame wars, and then delete other people's posts when they disagreed with you, or tried to defend themselves.

Oh, wait, I forgot the bar Eyesore set during his glory days modding here. Nvurmind.

We're more or less just here to keep an eye on spam and make sure posts are in the right forum. Don't expect any noticable changes.

You interested in turning this into a flamewar now? I never moderated anyone like that. Let's not get into that discussion again.

It's pretty simple really. Outside of Dylan and myself, the rest of the team doesn't visit the forums much. With Ken not modding, Mike suggested Dylan and I suggest a few forumites to help out with the occasional bullshit and spam. Cenotaph, we really needed to pick forum members, particularly ones who visit nearly every day and are not flamers or trolls. With rio, Rad, and NESS, I seriously doubt there will be any abuse of power. Things will be much like they are now.

Um...sorry, but rio, Rad, and NESS are total flamers, dude.
